AZ born and raised. Limited government, unlimited opportunity. Being right of center means I have a dog and a cat but I like the dog more.

Pro tip: if your dealer will take a check, they’re a cop.
Turns out @SenLouiseLucas is nothing but a cheap low life hood rat asking her drug dealer if they’re actually a cop. “On or about April 19, 2022, LOUISE LUCAS asked ICC #1 if they were a member of law enforcement before purchasing between 3-5 pounds of marijuana from ICC #1.”

Yes I’d like to report 435 people please.
BREAKING: Trump has revealed his new anti-fraud program set up to reward people who expose fraud with a 1% commission on the money uncovered. "If you turn somebody in and you, let's say report and you find $1 billion, we are giving a commission to that person of 1%."

Gonna be real, if I went to a nationwide protest and there were 11 people there I would not post pictures of it.
Tempe No Kings yesterday. Amazing to see so many showing up and speaking out to defend our democracy. Now let’s get out and vote!

I always thought Norse mythology was clever because their gods are worshipped for solving problems that never actually existed. Odin killed the ice giants! Proof? Yall see any ice giants lately? Didn’t think so. Anyways this post is about No Kings rallies.

Remember: when you vote, (reputable) political orgs will scrub you from their lists and not knock on your door or call you any more.

Thinking back to 15 or so years ago when I taught another bar regular what a straw man was and the next time I saw him he lost it about how everything he saw on tv was a straw man. One step at a time, one person at a time.

Given our AG’s track record at prosecuting pay-to-play politicians, this is pretty funny.
🚨 NEW AD: PAY-TO-PLAY PETERSEN🚨 As ballots hit Arizona mailboxes, we’re hitting the airwaves with a new ad exposing Warren Petersen’s extremist record — and the special interests backing him. 💧 He attacked Arizona’s water protections, tried to sue to overturn them, and said: “We have plenty of water. We have the water we need.”💰 More than $1.2 MILLION in dark money has been spent by special interests boost his campaign by companies I've held accountable for endangering Arizonans ⚠️ Follow the money. Listen to his own words. Look at his record. That’s Pay-to-Play Petersen.

Democrat explaining that you’re going to pay more for your groceries due to their policies.
Phoenix doesn't charge a grocery tax. So what could Prop 316 mean for the city — and the rest of Arizona? Asked about the proposal to cap municipal grocery taxes at 2%, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego urged voters to consider the potential effects beyond their own grocery bills. "For some smaller communities, this tax is how they pay for police and fire," @MayorGallego said. ▶️ Watch Gallego explain her concerns about Prop 316 and what she wants Arizona voters to consider before casting their ballots: ktar.com/watch/kate-gallego-…

This whole AI companies lobbying the pope thing is funny to me because everyone is accusing everyone of hubris. The hubris to believe you can create souls and change the pope’s mind! The hubris to believe you’re God’s representative and infallible!

Social Security benefits for early adopters are being paid for by new members who will get nothing in return after the whole thing collapses under its own weight. It is literally a Ponzi scheme in every sense.
You paid into Social Security your whole working life. Jay Feely calls it a "Ponzi scheme." I call it a promise. I'll fight in Congress to protect the benefits seniors have earned. azmirror.com/2026/10/01/jay-…

I dunno, man. There’s a lot of good out there and a lot of bad too but people always seem to find whichever they’re looking for.

Reading my voter guide and I’m glad so many candidates have such detailed plans like “we need to lower healthcare costs” and “we need to address housing costs”. At least it’s better than the “everything costs too much” signs, which is just an observation.

Pretty bold coming from someone who failed the Voight-Kampff test in 2003.
I just signed an executive order permanently declaring Artificial Intelligence “Artificial Intelligence” in California. You’re welcome, America.

I wouldn’t give a $400,000 business loan to someone whose business plan included a skip year in Italy before they make any revenue.
This is actually fucking evil holy shit. In the land of the free students must only study what the president approves apparently.

Campaign slogans both sides can use; “If America falls to Socialism, there won’t be anywhere left to run”

When they make the movie, we all agree there’s only one choice for the actor right?
In 1884, a nineteen year old with a badge he made himself held off roughly eighty armed men for a day and a half from inside a mud hut in New Mexico. They fired an estimated four thousand rounds into it and threw dynamite on the roof. On the second morning, he made coffee and tortillas. His name was Elfego Baca, and he was from Socorro. The trouble was in a settlement called Frisco, out in western New Mexico Territory. Texas cowboys working the big ranches around it had spent months terrorizing the Mexican American families who lived there. Among other things, ranch hands had tortured and maimed a local man in a cantina. Nothing happened to anyone, because the law in that county did not exist for those residents. A deputy named Pedro Sarracino was talking about the situation back in Socorro. Baca, who was nineteen and had no commission of any kind, told him that if he would take him along to Frisco, Baca would make himself a self made deputy. Then he did exactly that. He got himself a badge and rode out. In the fall of 1884 a drunk Slaughter ranch hand named Charlie McCarty was waving a pistol around in a bar and shot Baca's hat off his head. Baca disarmed him and arrested him. The cowboys came for him in a group, led by the Slaughter foreman, a man named Young Parham. In the confrontation Parham's horse was shot out from under him and came down on top of him and killed him. That turned an arrest into a war. Baca took cover in a jacal, a small hut built of mud and sticks, belonging to a man named Geronimo Armijo. About eighty cowboys surrounded it. What saved his life was the architecture. The floor of that hut was dug about eighteen inches below ground level. So while thousands of rounds went straight through the mud walls, Baca was lying below the line of them, firing back out through the doorway. It ran about thirty six hours. They shot the building apart. They set fire to part of it. They threw dynamite onto the roof and brought down a corner of the structure. On the second morning the men outside smelled coffee brewing and fresh tortillas cooking, because there was a stove in there and Baca was making himself breakfast. When it ended, four of them were dead and eight were wounded. Baca did not have a scratch on him. When people went inside afterward they found a plaster statue of a saint standing intact in the wreckage. He refused to surrender until he got terms. He wanted to be tried in Socorro rather than locally, and he wanted to keep both of his pistols for the ride. He got both. He was tried for murder and acquitted. His defense hauled in the door of Geronimo Armijo's house and stood it up in the courtroom. It had more than four hundred bullet holes in it. And then Elfego Baca went and had an entire second life. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1894. Over the years he was a deputy US marshal, a county clerk, a school superintendent, a district attorney, a mayor, and the sheriff of Socorro County. His method as sheriff was the best thing about him. Instead of riding out after wanted men, he mailed them letters. Each one gave a date and explained that if the man had not come in by then, Baca would consider him to be resisting arrest and would come and get him personally. Most of them just turned themselves in. He later got mixed up in the Mexican Revolution, acted as the US representative for Victoriano Huerta's government, and in 1915 stood trial for conspiracy over a Mexican general's escape from jail. Acquitted again. He died in Albuquerque in 1945. In the late 1950s Walt Disney turned the whole thing into a television serial, which made a Mexican American kid from Socorro, New Mexico arguably the first Hispanic pop culture hero in America. And on the day that actually happened, he was not a deputy at all. He had appointed himself, made his own badge, and gone out there because nobody else was going to.

People are mad that a politician didn’t preemptively admonish a reality tv star’s opinion of the WNBA and I’m starting to think maybe the government is awful because we are too.
