So far, we’ve chosen debt over taxing wealth.
In just the last quarter, the top 10% net worth increased over $10 trillion. That's equal to: 1) Free college tuition forever along with student loan forgiveness if setup as a fund; or 2) Paying down 25% of the national debt, thereby saving $400B/year in interest costs.

All right, I tried to curate a fairly representative cross-section of 13 FLIPR maps for what might happen on Tuesday night. Warning: the last 3 or 4 are deliberately weird! Here's one that came up when the polls were in the 95th percentile of accuracy, however.

They see how insanely rich the top 10% are getting, and want the things that would pay for.

This is why it's a great time to rebalance your 401k by selling stock and buying long-term blue chip bonds trading at 50-70 cents on the dollar, with cash yields over 5% and yields to maturity over 6%.

Republicans are the American Taliban, trying to force their radical interpretation of Christianity (e.g., take from the poor to give to the rich, racism) on everyone.

Apropos of...stuff, Republicans in Congress cut Medicaid and Food Stamps so that rich people and corporations could get a bigger tax cut. Real wage growth is negative. We're in a war with Iran with unclear goals, for unclear reasons. These things matter. Politics is not a game.

CBO estimates the bottom 30% will be worse off from Trump's tax bill (OBBBA) alone, mainly from spending cuts on Medicaid and food stamps (SNAP), worsening inequality as resources shift from poor to rich (a.k.a. Reverse Robin-Hood.) 2/ cbo.gov/publication/61387

Yes, this! Republicans enacted for a bill that took from the poor to give to the rich. This is not hyperbole or rhetoric.
The OBBB was the largest redistribution from poor to rich out of any bill in American history. ⁣ ⁣ Changes to Medicaid start Jan 1, potentially leaving 7.5 million people uninsured by 2034.

It’s a giveaway / loan when we’re already running deficits, if you believe the debt must someday be paid down.

So adding off-balance sheet debt and a corresponding asset using the asset credit % on slide #4, you get the following d-e ratios. AMZN appears as the safest choice for an investor, as it has a big diversified asset base & relatively smaller commitments. 5/END

Its funny to imagine the kind of morons these messages are meant to appeal to. Inflation is up, gas prices up, real wages down, disastrous Iran war, rampant White House corruption, failing schools, soaring debt... ...but at least they are protecting Tennessee from Sharia Law.
As your governor, I’ll protect Tennessee from Sharia law and the spread of Islamization.

Nearly all the affordability problems can be solved by taxing the rich to pay for healthcare and higher education for the middle-class. The top 10% got $10 trillion richer in just the 2nd quarter of 2026.

Bottom 40% struggle. We should be taking healthcare or education or both off their back. The rich have so much money they could do it and barely notice while they keep getting richer. Far too many Republican voters put their bigotry ahead of their own economic interests.

If you go to bed on election night and don't know who won a midterm congressional race, that's normal. And if you wake up the next morning and find that a candidate who was behind hours earlier has since pulled ahead, that's normal, too. (via @PolitiFact) to.pbs.org/4zqnWBa
