TCU baseball adds a commitment to its 2027 class in Troup County (GA) OF/1B Davis Moncus. He was also being recruited by Clemson, Georgia and Georgia Tech.
Moncus also holds multiple D1 football offers.

β27 OF Davis Moncus (GA) hits this one on the ground & shows off the run tool, beating it out to plate a run on a FC. Plethora of tools & one of the top @PG_Uncommitted β27βs in GA. #WWBA @PG_Georgia

Auburn commit AJ Rice became a state champion yesterday, good for him
However, this umpire absolutely SCREWED Troup County
Hate to see it, especially for the seniors
The final play of the 6th inning in the GHSA 3A State Championship.
A bang bang play at home the Umpire called out. Wouldβve tied it at 2.
Pickens would go on to win 2-1

Outstanding performance from 2027 LHP/OF Davis Moncus on the mound in GM3.
Only 2 H across 7.0 IP & pitchability stood out while generating soft contact throughout.
FB: 82-84; Carry & missed barrels
CB: 70-72; Depth
SL: 74-76; Tunnels with ability to +/ HZM
CH: 76-78
High-level competitor & fills up the zone with feel for all 4.

2027 OF Davis Moncus kickstarts a rally in the 7th inning.
Fluid mover through impact with good separation & laces this backside for a 1B.
Would eventually come around to tie it at 1-1.

2027 OF Davis Moncus gets the barrel out front & on-plane as he scorches this to the PS for a 1B.
Stays compact & balanced with above-average bat speed and barrel accuracy alike.
Dynamic athlete in CF & holds tons of projection in the profile.
