FYI Elon liked this post So that's a good tell that there's some truth to the thesis I outlined As usual, Elon is thinking in years (or decades) not quarters He's playing a completely different game than everyone else This is the reason $SPCX and $TLSA will end up being the biggest and most important companies in the world He removes bottlenecks before the world even knows the bottleneck exists
I don’t think Elon actually plans for SpaceX to be a neocloud long-term I think he’s rushing to build as much compute as possible right now bc it can be paid for by other companies within 6-9 months at current spot prices Then, in 2 years from now as pricing begins to stabilize he can re route that same compute to Grok, FSD, robotaxis and humanoids as they scale up So all that compute he’ll need in a couple years is just getting paid for by other companies now And the most interesting thing from this is right now he builds a GW for $30-$45B (with Vera Rubin) and then rents it for $50B/year Once he re routes that compute to his products, he’ll generate upwards of $100B+/GW, which is the current return for companies like OpenAI and Anthropic Obviously there’s risk if the demand for compute subsides in the short-term, before his other products scale, but I think it’s an incredibly smart move that’s going to pay off massively For that reason, $SPCX has become a core asset in my portfolio. My current views on investing: - Government will never stop printing money, so bitcoin / gold / land will all do well for 2 decades - AI is drastically underestimated and the best AI companies are significantly undervalued - Shorting individual stocks is very difficult, so I wouldn’t try it but the biggest indicator of whether a company survives or not is the internal speed of iteration now - Bonds shouldn’t be in the conversation for anyone under age 50. Picking up pennies in front of steamroller - Venture investing & public markets will blend in next 5 years, so private valuations will rise due to lots more capital chasing a few great companies - Young people should look at assets & markets that Wall Street hasn’t adopted yet. This used to be bitcoin/crypto, but now private markets, prediction markets, compute markets, and data brokering - every investor should be sovereign. You can use a financial advisor, but you have to know your numbers, your strategy, and your risk exposure. AI makes this too easy (Silvia .com) - Everyone arguing over interest rates, oil, and other historical macro factors are not wrong, but these just have less impact today (thx @jvisserlabs) - agents are coming for finance and things are going to rapidly change. Don’t fight it, embrace it and use to your advantage. - Tesla / SpaceX merger will happen and create largest company in human history. My simple rule is to never bet against Elon. There are many more, but what are yours?

This is a fuller list of the limitations of supercomputer buildout. If anything is missing, however seemingly trivial, the compute doesn’t work.
Replying to @chamath
And what binds power? • land • permits • grid access • transformers and switchgear • noise • clean air • supply chain • fuel security • casting machines • suitable large lathes for turning shafts • residential priority • community political power All the best sites are now taken, and every year the marginal development site gets worse and worse.

AI Bubble? 😂 $AMZN is sold out. AWS 2026 capacity: gone. 2027 gone, 2028 nearly all gone. The biggest cloud on Earth is rationing compute. Bubbles don't have waitlists.

Micron just told investors the memory shortage is not ending anytime soon. At its technology webinar, Micron said supply will stay tight for at least two more years, and that it still cannot see the point where supply and demand come back into balance. Every new generation of AI memory eats more wafers per bit than normal DRAM, and Micron said those trade ratios keep going UP. Micron also unveiled vertical HBM, which stacks memory directly on top of the processor instead of next to it, and its roadmap now runs from HBM4 this year all the way to HBM6 in 2030. It also took a shot at China's CXMT, calling the density advantage of the 4F² DRAM design it is pushing "a bit of a myth." That matters because fear of 4F² was part of this month's memory selloff, with investors worried that China could flood the market with cheaper supply. $MU is still more than 25% below its June high, but the company is telling us the shortage will last LONGER than the market thinks.
The memory supercycle is about to get A LOT bigger, Every single new wave of AI is creating an entirely NEW layer of demand for memory, and we're still in the EARLY stages of this cycle. HBM capacity per GPU has already increased 3.6X from Nvidia's H100 to B300. Memory per server is expected to DOUBLE over three years as inference and reasoning workloads become increasingly complex. Meanwhile, AI context lengths are growing roughly 30X annually as we move toward agentic AI, and autonomous vehicles could require more than 10X the DRAM capacity of today's advanced vehicles. And here's what makes this so interesting for $MU. We're no longer talking about memory demand being driven primarily by training larger AI models. Every time these models become more capable, they need additional memory to store context, process information, run complex reasoning tasks, and interact with other AI agents. And as AI moves beyond data centers into robotics, autonomous vehicles, and physical devices, we're going to see an entirely new category of memory consumption. This is especially important because Micron isn't just exposed to HBM. It also benefits from server DRAM, LPDDR, and NAND storage, meaning the company has exposure across practically the ENTIRE memory hierarchy. And unlike previous memory cycles, supply cannot simply expand overnight. Building new fabrication facilities takes YEARS, while manufacturers are increasingly allocating capacity toward more complex, higher value products like HBM. That's precisely why I continue to believe investors are underestimating just how long this memory upcycle could last. Bullish on $MU, if you want to see how I’m investing around this memory supercycle and the other AI infrastructure names I’m positioned in, check out my full Milk Road Pro portfolio below. link.milkroad.com/d8cj6v

Solana has handled $5T in stablecoin volume so far in 2026, up from about $3T in all of 2025, with 10 weeks of the year still left. Solana holds only about 5% of all stablecoins. In its busiest months this year it carried 32-36% of global stablecoin transfer volume, on adjusted data that tries to filter out some bot activity. At Money20/20, Amira Valliani of the Solana Foundation pointed to Western Union rebuilding parts of its business around stablecoins, the Bank of North Dakota using its Roughrider coin on Solana for interbank transfers, and Samsung's plan to put USDC transfers in Samsung Wallet. Volume overstates real use though. The same dollar can move many times a day between trading bots and exchanges, so $5T of volume is far less than $5T of payments. Western Union, a state-owned bank and Samsung building on Solana are a bigger deal than the volume number. Most of it is still pilots and plans, so judge it by what goes live over the next year.

holy fuck. openai says its models helped discover one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. in php, the language behind an estimated 70% of websites. they spent two months coordinating fixes before disclosing it. and openai says this is just one of several significant vulnerabilities they’ve already discovered.
OpenAI models helped researchers—operating as part of our Patch the Planet initiative—discover critical security flaws in PHP, an open-source programming language used to run an estimated 70% of websites. Over the past two months, we led a coalition of maintainers, researchers, and security providers to prepare fixes and protections ahead of disclosure. This duration was necessary because the fix was quite intricate and required a major change to the PHP engine. Every site using PHP can now safely upgrade their version to stay secure, in addition to applying mitigations from various security vendors. Due to the severity of these flaws and PHP’s widespread use, we consider this bug to be one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. It also marks a new phase, where AI can find security bugs with internet-scale impact. This is an example of the Defender’s Window in action: to our knowledge, frontier AI was able to find this vulnerability ahead of attackers, giving defenders time to prepare. openai.com/index/coordinated…

$SPCX is turning into a hyperscaler, but there’s a huge difference between the two. The market has been skeptical of hyperscalers raising capex. Guidance goes up every quarter, and while earnings have been fine, the ROI hasn’t been proven, which is why the stocks have been stagnant lately relative to earnings. SpaceX just showed you what monetizing capex looks like: Revenue $14.6B, +161% YoY Adj. EBITDA $8.8B, +306% YoY GAAP Net Earnings $4.4B, +$5.45B YoY Q1 revenue was $4.7B. It's tripled in two quarters. The difference is build rate. A typical AI data center takes ~2 years to go from dirt to online. Colossus 2 took about 7-8 months. Minihard is scaling up even faster. When you can power on capacity that fast, capex turns into a revenue-generating asset almost immediately. And this is not exactly replicable. Elon said they have secret sauce, and gave you a small taste - they stamp their own turbine blades to cut 18 months in front of the queue for access to power. Try copying that. That's why the market is absorbing the $35-40B Q4 capex guidance from SpaceX. Heck, even celebrating it. Because that capex is turning into revenue and earnings as soon as Q1-Q2 2027. Compared to neoclouds SpaceX has a fortress balance sheet and access to capital. Compared to hyperscalers SpaceX has lightning execution speed allowing them to turn capex into monetization. Call SpaceX a hyperscaler or neocloud, compare them to who you want, but in reality they are playing a different ball game.
