I’ll mitigate that it’s the 3rd of 5 home games in 17 days. If you’re a casual attendee and you see AEK Athens (on TV) for £35 this week and Brighton for £15 next week which are you gonna attend? They 1000% got the pricing strategy wrong.

Also see 40k for a walkover Champions League tie with close to zero jeopardy in this format 👍
32,000 for a formality of a League Cup tie against a Championship team on a Thursday night is basically fine, but the club again missed an opportunity to engage young and working-class fans with cheap tickets.

Cheapest (non-ST) ticket for tonight being ~£35 is shite and the club should sort it. Most group stage games a few years ago were £20odd, wages in the country haven't improved and now we have an extra group stage fixture. They clearly don't care about stadium being full.
another victory for MCFC cup pricing

Seeing people complaining that a relegation-guaranteeing points deduction wouldn't be harsh enough is mad. Folks have completely lost their heads. Relegation for a squad with City's wage bill and amortisation costs is absolutely catastrophic, amid probable ownership change.

What punishment would be enough? If you think liquidating a club founded in 1894 because of nine years of breaking financial rules is fair enough, then say it with your whole chest. If you do, you've completely lost all perspective and should probably get of the internet.

Interesting to see a lot of people so concerned about the integrity of the league welcoming the sort of deduction (probably a fair one, imo) that would turn all of City's games after it into a farce.
EXCLUSIVE: Man City to face HUGE points deduction which will guarantee relegation

If City were on -100, all the teams playing them after that punishment would have huge advantage over those who played them betore because City would no longer have any incentive to win.

Feels like a good option in this scenario would be -60ish for this season. Means City are almost certainly relegated but they have something to shoot at. Contrived relegation battle also great TV 🍿 Then fines, transfer bans, sanctions on owners etc.

I really like Dubois, and his responses to setbacks to get to where he is now have been immense. But you don't just get to keep rematching a dude 10 years older than you, who's beaten you twice, stopped you twice and barely lost a round until you beat him. Give over.
Daniel Dubois is chasing a trilogy with Oleksandr Usyk 👀

If Ian Dury has been from Santa Monica
Fashion, surfing and rock-and-roll. Nothing about improving the actual boxing product. Constantly hearing about "attracting a new audience" - meanwhile the actual core audience is losing interest in the sport more and more by the day. Word salad.

This is obvious a critique of Ben Davison, who is understandable getting a lot of scrutiny. But the same applies to Don Charles in the other corner last night. Or Angelo Dundee, who did alright. It really is an absolutely mad game.
Boxing is a mad game. In football, most managers have played professionally before going into management. In boxing, any Tom, Dick or Harry who can hold pads, without ever having boxed competitively, can end up training the equivalent of a Premier League team. Inconceivable 🤣
