Many people who live in Toronto actually like Toronto and are proud to live in Toronto and want a Mayor who also seems to enjoy our incredible city while acknowledging ways we can all work together to help make it better. Brad’s negativity isn’t working. #topoli

In Stan Cho math, that’s 800,000 nights in hotel rooms. Why won’t @fordnation @PaulCalandra fund our schools properly? Ontario kids, education workers, and teachers, deserve so much better. #onted #onpoli
In March, Ford budgeted $40.8B for education. Seven months later? $40.2B. $600 MILLION less than planned. Classrooms are overcrowded. Supports are disappearing. Education workers are losing jobs. Ford calls it a plan. I call it abandoning students. Where did the money go? #onted

Most people we know who have a spouse/partner and have sleep-trained a child did so… together. If that system wasn’t working for this family, then they should have paid for alternate arrangements. Why in the world would Ontario taxpayers fund this? #onpoli
Now the parliamentary assistant to Paul Calandra, Cho told reporters that he expensed thousands in hotels because his wife preferred a quiet home while sleep-training a baby torontolife.com/city/stan-ch…

This new explanation doesn’t really match what Mr. Cho originally said in July, that his job keeps him away from his family, and late nights at work led to hotel stays. Nothing about sleep-training 3 months ago. Has he actually paid Ontario taxpayers back?

One of Mayor Chow’s largest vote share increases was in Brad Bradford’s riding of Beaches-East York. Spending years collecting your taxpayer-funded salary but not actually doing your job while trying to get a promotion is an interesting choice- I think voters noticed! #topoli
Ward-by-ward analysis finds the incumbent gained ground everywhere, even as residents stay divided on policing, housing and bike lanes. thestar.com/news/gta/city-ha…

It’s the first day of a new 4-year term for Toronto @MayorOliviaChow! Thank you to everyone who put their name forward to run in this election, and to all the campaign staff and volunteers who worked so hard! Let’s go TO! #ShowLoveTO #topoli

Looks like Brad Bradford has confirmed that one of his biggest campaign promises- freezing property taxes- isn't actually true. If elected he will, in fact, be raising property taxes by at least 1.5%. Vote wisely Toronto! #topoli
Replying to @TorontoDDG
You’re correct. This headline was published before Bradford clarified later on the campaign trail that his ā€œfreezeā€ doesn’t include the council-approved policy of instituting a 1.5% annual hike for a fund that pays for transit and housing infrastructure.

The first time I met Olivia Chow she was creating art with her family at a local gallery. In addition to a strong, innovative leader, she is a kind person who knows how to have fun and enjoy all that our beautiful city has to offer. I hope Toronto makes the right choice today.

Great photo of the old Logan ramps that, despite the fact they were only used by a mere 3% of all Gardiner drivers and already have a planned replacement at Cherry, have somehow become such a central point of discussion in the Beaches-East York race to replace Brad Bradford!
Attending the @Waterfront4All Biidaasige Park walking tour. Just learned that Etobicoke is an Indigenous name. Think we can figure out how to pronounce the name of the park based on that! #topoli

Wait til the OLP find out how we ended up with Brad Bradford in the first place! #EndorsementsMatter #BeachesEastYork #BEYDeservesBetter #topoli
I’m sorry, but if you’re involved in the OLP or LPC and have decided to enthusiastically back Brad Bradford, I’m going to have a very difficult time taking your professed political principles seriously šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

You wouldn’t promote someone without checking their references, right? Brad Bradford has 109,000+ references: his Beaches-East York constituents. And, overwhelmingly, they are warning the rest of Toronto away from this absentee, unresponsive, ineffectual candidate. #topoli

This is true. Same as what Brad’s mentor, John Tory, used to do to pretend he was freezing property taxes! #topoli
Replying to @GraphicMatt
Chow says Bradford's property tax freeze isn't actually a freeze because he's going to keep the 1.5% city building levy. "Tell the people here tonight that it is not a freeze, and that you are going to borrow a whole lot of money — max out on the credit card," says the mayor.

Stan Cho has never, to my knowledge, shown any proof that he reimbursed Ontario taxpayers for the thousands and thousands of dollars of our money he chose to spend on luxury downtown Toronto hotels, nor ever explained why he chose to stay downtown vs return to his home nearby!
NEW - The Premierā€˜s office releases an updated list of parliamentary assistants. Notably, Stan Cho is named parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Education. Cho resigned as Minister of Tourism Culture and Gaming in July amid a scandal over hotel expenses.

Very interesting thread here about Brad Bradford’s water plans for the City of Toronto from an Economics professor at U of T.
I've generally avoided commenting on the municipal race in Toronto, but this claim touches a nerve. Bradford's approach is pretty much the opposite of financially reasonable, taking a tight budgetary situation and dramatically worsening it on both the expenditure & revenue sides.

A nice patio close to home that I could walk to with my family? A local small business we could support? Meet up with friends for brunch or a drink after work? This actually looks amazing! Would love Mayor Chow to bring more of these to our communities!!

ā€œThis will still be the most financially responsible and conservative government on the continentā€ says mayoral candidate Brad Bradford. I mean at least he has finally completely abandoned any pretence of being a progressive politician. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Did you know that Paul’s Ministry has offered Ontario families $100 a month in gas cards to drive their kids to school because he didn’t organize enough school busses for them? Seems like getting kids from their home to their school is a pretty important part of education?
Every parent wants to know their child is safe on their way to and from school. It's a peace of mind we want for every student, in every community. From kindergarten to high school, student safety is everyone's responsibility. This School Bus Safety Week, I remind all drivers to slow down, stay alert and take extra care around school buses and school zones throughout the school year.

It says a lot about mayoral candidate Brad Bradford- a renowned flip-flopper who abandoned constituents years ago in search of more power- that so many people saw this video and thought it could be AI. Inauthentic, slick, staged. It all tracks.
If we want to change the city, we have to change the mayor. Vote on October 26 to get Toronto unstuck.

Brad’s campaign apparently uses an AI app, and he seems to support AI data centres in Toronto. There’s a weird glitch at 20 seconds when he says ā€œvoteā€. It’s so quiet despite being filmed at King and Yonge! So was it any surprise that people started to question this video?

What was a surprise to me, a Beaches-East York constituent of Brad’s for 8 years, was how quickly his team responded. 1. Minute. Later. Meanwhile, constituents- the people he was elected to serve- have waited days/months/years for Brad to reply to issues in our community!
