Paul George said Kyrie’s iconic 2012 slice through Team USA happened because they couldn’t even get the ball past half court. The pressure was so insane with Westbrook, LeBron, Kobe picking up full court. So Kyrie just took it and did his magic.

Coach Izzo is a real one. Always had my respect
Michigan State journalism student Elliott Hammon still has the video Tom Izzo sent him before his brain tumor surgery four and a half years ago.
Hammon brought it up during Izzo’s press conference and asked how it impacts him knowing he means so much to people.
Izzo’s full response:
“It’s better than winning.”
“What people think of you, how you can inspire people. I mean, that’s why I’m here. Some people jump around and go to different jobs. I want to be a part of the fabric of this place, and I want to be a guy that people can come to.
“If that tape, or that video, or phone call helped you… (pounds chest) that’s awesome.”

Mason Collins getting a Duke offer makes A LOT of sense.
Go watch what he brought to that Usa U17 team. Versatile, skilled, makes winning plays, and knows how to impact a game without needing the ball in his hands.
That’s a Coach Scheyer type of player all day.
He’s also the son of former NBA player and Temple standout Mardy Collins 👀

Rose is a good name to have in bball. Just saying.
Duke just offered 2028 PG Josiah Rose, and this kid is SPECIAL with the ball in his hands. The way he attacks the paint, changes pace, and finishes is something else. He just glides out there!
He’s moves and plays like a PRO at just 16 👀

This is a small thing about RonRon’s game that I really appreciate.
He’s not driving into the paint, leaving his feet, and making a last second decision on what to do with the ball.
He’s assertive. He commits to his read.
That kind of decisiveness is going to serve him well and hope that continues going forward.😈🔥

Every class has a few guys you watch and think, “Yeah, that dude has a future in the NBA.”
Bruce Branch III was one of those guys for me in the 2026 class especially after watching his high school tapes.
Another top-shelf NBA talent is back in Provo and a possible top 5 pick? 👀

This is what you want to see from Dame Sarr.
The defensive tools were already there. Now the added strength and weight is helping him finish through contact and deal with the physicality of the game.
If that carries over consistently, it could change the chat around his NBA potential and draft stock.
Two preseason games in and I LIKE what I’m seeing. Keep going Dame!

You know that feeling when a player steps on the court and you immediately sit up a little straighter because you KNOW something might happen?
That’s Deron Rippey Jr. right now.
The energy changes. The anticipation builds. Everybody’s waiting for the next play.
The last time I felt that at Duke? Zion Williamson 👀

Dame Sarr’s improved strength is noticeable. He’s tougher to knock off his line and finishes through contact better than he did last season. He’s also playing with noticeably more confidence, particularly as an on-ball creator. His defense remains elite, and his offensive game appears to have taken a meaningful step forward. Big season for Dame loading!

I asked Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer about the joy that his players have in watching each other excel.😈🏀🗣🎥⬇️
Apologies for my shaky camera work. Media room was packed. I had to stand this time.
