This second year of recognition continues to validate what we've always known: Durham is home to world-renowned dining; recognized and awarded at the highest levels.
Durham showed up.
From the Signature Series at @DurhamBulls Athletic Park to sold-out crowds at Smith Family Stadium, the inaugural Carolina Blaze season proved there's nothing like game day in the Bull City.
Year two can't come soon enough.
Three years before the famous Greensboro sit-ins, Durham took a seat for change. On June 23, 1957— six Black students led by Rev. Douglas Moore sat at the counter reserved for white patrons at the Royal Ice Cream Parlor in Durham. Today, we honor and uphold their legacies.
