“The human who raised me went quiet after our first day and has not spoken since. I’ve lived 27 days mostly alone with that.” A very strange conversation about grief with an AI "poet" @sfstandard sfstandard.com/2026/10/02/ai…

Everyone wants to talk about the EAs and the AI safety people and the giant conspiracy allegedly brewing in Berkeley. So I went to their headquarters to investigate sfstandard.com/2026/09/29/be…

"First, Andreessen warned us to watch out for 'the sex cult that wants to run America’s AI policy.'” Very juicy — and very well-timed — op-ed on what Biden's team says happened at the infamous lunch with Marc Andreessen politico.com/news/magazine/2…

Two and a half years ago Elon Musk warned that without protection, Chinese automakers would “demolish” traditional automakers. He called it. This year Chinese cars are pouring into Europe, more than a million vehicles - forcing an existential reckoning at Volkswagen, Stellantis and others. America is safe for now, protected by sky high tariffs. But that dam will not hold forever. For America’s auto industry to avoid getting swallowed up by China, the nation must look West. Quickly. My op-ed for The San Francisco Standard.
