Earlier this week,
@ENTSOG gathered in Dublin, for two productive days hosted by Gas Networks Ireland, bringing together the ENTSOG Board and the
@ENNOH Board!
With Europe needing to deliver security of supply, competitiveness and decarbonisation at once, discussions focused on,
#securityofsupply,
#infrastructure #resilience,
#network #planning, and the scaling-up of renewable and low carbon
#gases.
💧🤝🔥A joint session between the ENTSOG and ENNOH Boards sent a clear message: there is a shared interests across the energy sector and a need for continued dialogue on Europe’s
#molecules-based energy system.
⚙️The gas infrastructure remains a strategic asset for of the
#energytransition. It provides flexibility and resilience when renewable generation is low, can increasingly carrying renewable and low-carbon gases, from
#biomethane to
#hydrogen.
🇮🇪 We were also pleased to join discussions with Minister Darragh O'Brien TD and Minister Timmy Dooley and thank Ireland's
#PresidencyoftheCounciloftheEU for its initiative to welcome European gas and energy associations to Dublin and facilitate exchanges.
🙌 A sincere thank you to
#GasNetworksIreland, David Kelly and in particular Con O'Donnell, for the warm welcome and excellent organisation, and to all participants for the open and constructive discussions. We look forward to turning these exchanges into concrete progress!
