Rookie Mid-season grades Monroe Freeling - C I think Freeling has had some slightly unfair criticism. He’s not played great by any means but he’s also not been the biggest issues on the line. He’s also playing out of Position so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt until he’s played more at LT Lee Hunter - B+ Hunter hasn’t had any stats to really show for it but I like what I’ve seen and I think under a better performing unit and a better DC he’ll thrive. I like his potential a lot, especially against the run. Will Lee - B - Lee started off rough and seemed out of his depth at the beginning, especially giving up poor penalties. But he’s got better each game and he had a great performance against Philly on DeVonta Smith - unfortunately he’s now also out for a bit. Sam Hecht - C Not yet played so can’t give him anything other than the average C grade. I’m really hoping he starts soon as he has to better than Fortner, Right? Zakee Wheatley - A- The best of the rookies so far! Had some great plays including a nice INT against GB. He’s looked really athletic and very competent in coverage. I’d like to see him start a lot more especially instead of Nick Scott Jackson Kuwatch - C+ Not really had lots of involvement, mainly used on ST but had a nice FF against GB and I can see him being an asset on special teams going forward. Overall - B There’s not really been any outstanding plays or moments to really shout about but the rookies have showed promise and I like the potential we have. There is also of course still time to further improve!
