Some infowarriors (and politicians) are displeased by the ceasefire and civilian evacuation of Oleshky. The spectre of peace is just too much for them, however small. Many in Ukraine, however, are less terrified by fruitful negotiations with Russia. eventsinukraine.substack.com…

I have never said that everyone wants to be annexed by Russia. Quite the opposite. I am more than happy that people can return to Ukraine. Why can't people be happy about this event instead of criticizing it in every way possible?

1 - AI 2 - the famously pessimistic Russian milblogger Romanov made the claim about 17/4 trucks, which would mean a total of ~1200 people evacuated. He then deleted the post. But Melania Trump said that 750 people were evacuated. Why would Melania be undercounting how many people she helped save? Anyway all this arguing over who went where is so sad. Why not just be happy that civilians were given the choice to leave a warzone?
If you've ever wondered what a fair referendum would look like in occupied territory, here's a perfect visual.

I wonder if Sensible Centrists ever worry about the moral qualities of their allies in Ukraine and Israel
The German extreme Left and Right are terrified of their own supporters who propel them in elections: Hamas fans + Arab mobsters and Nazi sympathisers. Leaked @Alice_Weidel mails & @ElifEralpBerlin comments bring amazing transparency about their anxiety towards people who help them win elections. Weidel says she cld “puke” bc of her far-Right allies; Eralp is afraid for herself and her family at a mere mention of “organised crime” and “Hamas” who helped her win the Berlin elections.

Poland has always been a very divided country. For instance rokosz, it was a law allowing Polish nobles to launch a civil war against the state if they didn't like it.

There's also another aspect. The people making this hysterical content about Dostoevsky are liberal NGO types, brought up on grants for 'decolonizing Ukraine'. Right-wing military units like Azov, in contrast, glorify Gogol and don't really care about culture wars, many of their troops speak Russian, there is a Russian Volunteer Corps.

I think it's because Ukrainian nationalists are always anxious of being too similar to Russia, so they have to try really hard to reject all Russian culture. Palestinians don't feel that anxiety about Jews. It is easier to respect a totally foreign enemy (respect in the abstract sense), whereas civil wars are always schizo freakshows.

From what I can tell it is a desperate attempt by the liberal, pro-EU PM Tusk to reassert power against the conservative, EU-skeptic president Nawrocki. I think Nawrocki will win, he is much more popular per polls and his party has much more control over the state.

It is somewhat reminiscent of the 2020 constitutional crisis, when Zelensky summarily sacked all the constitutional judges. I suppose it is a bit similar to the NABU. The liberal pro-EU Tusk is trying to reassert control over the court system that the EU-critical Nawrocki controls. In Poland, by the way, they tried this year to abolish the anti-corruption organs the EU forced them to make, the NABU equivalent. Paradoxically, the liberal Tusk was the one who tried, he said that the right-wing Nawrocki has put the courts under his control. Anyway, it seems like the liberals are weaker in Poland than in Ukraine, where the NABU remains quite powerful and not under Zelensky's control.

A vacuum of power has emerged - Braun, you must gather your szlachta, declare rokocz against the illegitimate rulers, take the reins of power, annex all neighbours, establish a new Rzeczpospolita Time must not be wasted!
Wzywam do wycofania policji z udziału w akcjach politycznych i rozwiązania sporów kompetencyjnych w sposób zgodny z prawem. Grzegorz Braun, Prezes Konfederacji Korony Polskiej @KoronyPolskiej🇵🇱

UWAGA - Służby na polecenie Donalda Tuska szturmują budynek Trybunału Konstytucyjnego - Ludzie zebrani pod Trybunałem próbują odeprzeć atak - Karol Nawrocki, lecący z wizytą międzynarodową do Senegalu, zawraca, by przywrócić porządek w kraju To jest całkowita abstrakcja. To jest zamach stanu.

Both are military professionals, and the third seems to be larger than the 1st. The kernel of truth is that the 1st seems more willing to ally with lib types. However, their actual soldiers and officers are the same as those in the 3rd. It is mainly an op for the western media

Plenty of troops in the third corps are relatively apolitical, yes. Plenty arent. The officer corps, however, are adamantly politicized. Pagan rituals at every opportunity, the khorunzha political officers.
