FISU Leadership Visits IOC President Kirsty Coventry 🤝 @iocmedia International Olympic Committee – IOC President Kirsty Coventry welcomed FISU President @LeonzEder and Secretary General/CEO Matthias Remund to her office at IOC headquarters for an exchange of views. FISU we had the pleasure of welcoming Carlos de la Llera, Rector of the @ucatolica Pontifica Universidad Católica de Chile (Santiago), to FISU Headquarters in Lausanne. Professor de la Llera is an internationally recognised researcher in earthquake engineering and structural dynamics. He has led the university since March 2025. UC Chile is ranked number one in Latin America and the Caribbean in the QS regional ranking. His visit to Switzerland coincided with a special moment: on 3 October he received an Honorary Doctorate from @EPFL , in recognition of his contributions to seismic engineering and academic leadership. Congratulations, Rector! During the visit, he showed particular interest in continuing the development of sport at his university.
