Time sure flies by from the time I was 16 years old until now. I’m a proud graduate of this school district, now I educate and coach in this same school district .. #Education #Teaching #Coaching #Memories @OxnardUnion @achs_scorpions

Junior lightweight prospect Mathias Radcliffe defeated Cosme Rivera Figueroa (5-13-1, 3 KOs) by decision this past Friday at el Centro de Espectaculos El Parian in Tecate, Mexico. All three judges scored the bout 80-72 in favor of Radcliffe, who improved to 12-0-1, 7 KOs. #boxing #boxeo @Ovajay

Canelo Alvarez won another world title belt this past Saturday in Riyadh. Something about that WBC title means a lot to Canelo and other fighters from Mexico and Latin America. My thoughts including what could be next for the Gran Campeon from Guadalajara. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld @Canelo @CANELOTEAM @wbcmoro

I know Halloween was two days ago, but I felt the need to post this. Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' is the best music video. Ever. P.S. Most of this video was shot in East Los Angeles .. #Thriller #History #LosAngeles #Halloween piped.video/watch?v=sOnqjkJT…

You can tell how much a world title or being called a champion means to a fighter, especially Canelo. Yes, big purses are great to a fighter but belts matter. A lot .. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld #BeltsMatter @CANELOTEAM

If Hamzah Sheeraz stated he is willing to fight Canelo Alvarez or anyone at 168 pounds, why not follow up and ask him about not fighting Janibek Alimkhanuly? Again, he did say anyone. Sheeraz turned down a fight mandated by the WBO & a $750,000+ purse. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld

Impressive win by Canelo, fighting a smart and tactical fight. He was able to negate the offense of Mbilli. Again, just when some people think Canelo is done or doesn’t have it anymore, Canelo is able to prove naysayers and doubters wrong. Hats off/ Felicidades to the champ from Guadalajara. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld

Canelo Alvarez defeats Christian Mbilli (29-1-1, 24 KOs) by unanimous decision. Scores were 115-112, 116-111 and 117-110 for Canelo, who improves to 64-3-2, 39 KOs and wins the WBC super middleweight title. Superb performance by Canelo. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld @Canelo @CANELOTEAM

Scorecards should read 97-92 or 96-93 for Canelo Alvarez entering the championship rounds. I’m puzzled by the approach the last 4-5 rounds by Mbilli. No aggression. Overthinking. I don’t know. This style is not winning him rounds. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld

Wow. Referee Hector Afu deducts a point from Mbilli in round 8. Was Afu baited by Canelo to deduct a point from Mbilli? That could be huge on the scorecards .. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld

Through 7 rounds, I could Canelo Alvarez up 67-66/ 68-65 on the scorecards over Christian Mbilli. It’s been a decent fight so on. Wondering if Mbilli would become more aggressive and assertive in the next round or two. Would imagine he and Marc Ramsey think he’s down on the cards. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld

Jaime Munguia defeats Nikita Zon (12-1-1, 10 KOs) of Russia by unanimous decision. Scores were 117-111, 117-111 and 116-112 for Munguia, who improves to 47-2, 35 KOs and successfully defends the WBA super middleweight title. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld @jaimemunguia15

Round 6 between Jaime Munguia and Nikita Zon is a candidate for Round of the Year. Munguia was hurt midway during the round and dug deep and had Zon hurt late in that stanza .. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld

That’s said, Jaime Munguia should be up by scores of 78-74 or 77-75 over Nikita Zon as the fight enters round 9 .. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld

Looks like Nikita Zon has slowed a bit in round 8. His punch output has dropped over the last couple of rounds. Keep in mind he’s never been past 8 rounds in his pro career. Zon has fought in 3 scheduled 10-round bouts, but none of those fights went past round 6. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld

That’s a decent bargain. Now add up how much gas one would need to drive from their residence, drive to Pasadena, drive to the Coliseum (South of Downtown L.A.), then to Inglewood .. #CFB #gasprices #LosAngeles #SoCal

I don’t know about you but this #MexicoVsTheWorld card began 6.5 hours ago (10 pm ET/ 7 pm PT) and the co-main event between Jaime Munguia and Nikita Zon is about to begin. Pacing has been hit or miss today .. #boxing #CaneloMbilli

Props to Ricardo Blandon for taking the fight on short notice & given the circumstances of what’s happening in that region. However, this was a mismatch, in the ring & on paper. Blandon shouldn’t have been in the ring with Rafael Espinoza. The ringside physician recommending the fight be stopped did fans a favor. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld

Rafael Espinoza stated in the post-fight interview he wants to unify at 126 pounds. Unfortunately, doesn’t mention a unification fight against Bruce ‘Shu Shu’ Carrington, which makes sense since they both fight under the same promotional banner and streaming service. Only mentions Naoya Inoue. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld

Rafael Espinoza scores a knockout win in round 3 over Ricardo Blandon (21-7, 14 KOs). Cut that was caused by a punch from Espinoza prevents fight from continuing. Espinoza improves to 29-0, 25 and successfully defends the WBO featherweight title. #boxing #CaneloMbilli #MexicoVsTheWorld @divino_espinoza
