Yesterday, ARCHER at House 88 was represented by its Director, Jacek Purski, in a panel discussion following a screening of That Boy: A Conversation about Hate and Healing at the Museum of Remembrance of the Inhabitants of the Oświęcim Land.
The powerful documentary brings together Toby Górniak MBE, a Roma activist and former refugee who experienced neo-Nazi violence, and Mirek, a former neo-Nazi, in a deeply personal conversation about hatred, radicalization, transformation, and reconciliation.
The discussion, featuring Toby Górniak MBE, Michał Zajda, and Jacek Purski, explored the roots of extremism, the consequences of hate-driven violence, and the role of education, dialogue, and restorative justice in preventing radicalization.
At ARCHER at House 88, we believe that understanding how hatred develops — and how individuals can break away from extremist ideologies — is essential to preventing future violence.
We thank the Roma History and Culture Center in Oświęcim for organizing this important event and Toby Górniak for sharing his powerful story.
