I don’t think they’re comparable at all. The last sodomy law was abolished in 2003. Gay marriage was legalized federally in 2015. Meanwhile, Jim Crow laws were abolished in the 60s. “You can hide being gay” is a cop out. Objectively, gays aren’t as protected as black people.
