Closing soon! A special display at the Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids features the Northwest Ordinance of 1787, on loan from the @USNatArchives. The exhibit is free and open to the public until Nov. 1.
Drafted by the Confederation Congress at the same time as the Constitution, the Ordinance outlined a framework for government in the northwest territory, defining the rights guaranteed in that territory, and creating a process for admitting new states to the United States.
“The search for human freedom can never be complete without freedom for women,” Betty Ford told those gathered at the Greater Cleveland Congress of International Women’s Year #otd in 1975.

The pieces are weird, wacky & wonderful - you won't believe what ended up in the Museum!
