14 states still tie your suppressor to it. The ATF quit enforcing registration for suppressors and short-barreled rifles nationwide on Oct. 9, but in these states, state law only allows a suppressor if it’s registered under the NFA. Skip the Form 4 and you can still land in legal trouble at home.
Mississippi AG Lynn Fitch fixed it for suppressors in three days. Every AG in those 14 states can do the same.

Savit is a anti-gun Ann Arbor Leftist. Lloyd has pledged to protect the Second Amendment rights of Michiganders.

Republican gubernatorial candidate John James returned his Great Lakes Gun Rights Candidate Survey 100% pro-gun. He has pledged to support Constitutional Carry, oppose “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation, and repeal Michigan’s Permit to Purchase scheme.
Democrat gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson is the opposite. She has the backing of Giffords, Everytown, and Moms Demand Action. She has called for more “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation. She tried to ban guns at polling places in 2020 until the courts stopped her.
A Benson administration will not sign Constitutional Carry. It will run Whitmer’s Gun Violence Prevention Task Force playbook: “Assault Weapon” Bans, magazine bans, waiting periods, and more gun confiscation.

The time to contact your state AG and representatives about repealing messy state-level NFA laws was months ago.
We need to get to work, people.
There's no excuse for red states to have these laws on the books, holding gun owners back from exercising their newly restored rights.

This tracks. It was during the last legislative term that it was revealed that only one Democrat in both the House and the Senate was a hunter.
I know folks who are Democrats and who are hunters, but that divide is growing by the day.
Democrats likely tend not to hunt for several reasons. Hunting requires access to land, time, gear, a comfort with taking a life, and a household that still knows and values how to do it. They also live in a world that made hunting look violent, unnecessary, and impossible. @TheFairChase1
