The ground at Down Royal today is similar to yesterday based on the time of the first race.
We’ll know more after the handicap hurdle.

What a brilliant racehorse.
He will be sorely missed.
6 wins and a second place in 7 runs at the same 2 day festival each year.
One of the best chasers this century.
❤️ Remembering the legendary Envoi Allen today - a six-time winner at Down Royal and a three-time winner of the Grade 1 @BetVictorRacing Champion Chase.
Here's a throwback to his victory in the 2025 race.

Just looking at yesterday’s replays.
Very surprised to see Danny Mullins getting a 4 day suspension for this ride on Heads Up.
He used the ProCush whip 4 times.
Didn’t seem to do much wrong to me.
Would appear harsh on the great man. 🤔🧐
Heads Up, runner-up to Bambino Fever in the 2025 Champion Bumper, shows grit and a touch of class to land the Listed bottlegreen Hurdle @Downroyal for @dan2231 and @McConnellRacing

Is it ok to ask you @dan2231 why you got a 4 day ban and if you thought it was justified ?
I understand if you can’t comment.
Seemed very harsh to me.
Cheers

One of the best 2 year old fillies of all time. Hopefully she trains on.
👏👏👏🤞
What more can we say about this brilliant filly?

Gordon is right to be annoyed.
He hugely supports the meeting every year with some of his best horses and he deserves softer ground.
If they have a watering system then why not use it !
Gordon Elliott on conditions at Down Royal:
🗣️"It's very disappointing. We know this meeting is coming at the same time every year. We shouldn't be waiting on rain to come for the ground – this track has the best watering system in the country. It's not good enough.
"These are winter horses and they're promising us good ground. You can't depend on the rain and you have to use the watering system in place."

Got to see the Gold Cup winner today from 19 months ago.
He is such a dude.
So relaxed. A gorgeous horse.
Super to see Gavin’s horses back in great form. Brilliant facilities.

Thanks very much for that.
Much appreciated.
Hopefully we have another good National Hunt season.
👍👍
It’s the best money you’ll spend this year. The amount & quality of the videos, insight, information from Gavin & @mccueryan12 is ridiculously good.
I’ve been a member since day 1 & it’s changed the way I watch horses & bet. If it was 3 or 4 times the price it’d still be cheap.

A great interview and an honest interview from Gordon.
He made a mistake but he has fought back well over the last 5 years.
He has trained over a 100 Grade 1 winners in his career having started from nothing. A serious achievement.
🗣️ "I made the mistake & I had to pay the penalty. We were on the brink of losing everything."
@GelliottRacing opens up to @TheRacingJosh about a difficult time in 2021.

Dan Skelton is on fire and has already trained 117 winners this season.
His strike rate is 29% which is top class.
£1 million in the bag already.
Pity the prize money is so ordinary in NH racing - that’s less than €9k per win on average.
Winning owners deserve more.
The average is well less than €9k as over 170 horses of his were also placed.

Just seen the replay of this.
Derryhassen Paddy ran a lovely race there. Given an easy time in the saddle when held up, after almost a year off.
Slipped a little on the bend.
The stable have won 3 out of the last 5 Ultima’s.
Two more runs to qualify for that.
Ok first chase start too last November.
