Today, I filed Oklahoma House Joint Resolution 1040 (2026) which would effectively ban Sharia Law in Oklahoma. If this measure passes the Oklahoma House & Senate, it will then go to a vote of the people.

I am urging Oklahomans to please do their research on the candidates before voting on Tuesday, November 3. We can look around the world and see what’s happening. We can see how socialism doesn’t work and how the policies the Democratic Party is pushing do not align with our values. Dr. Robert Franklin is not someone I believe is a true Republican or conservative, nor do I believe he represents Oklahoma values. Oklahoma’s future depends on the choices we make today. Do your research, know who you’re voting for, and stand firm in the values that make our state great.

Tulsa World is clearly in favor of Dr. Robert Franklin for Oklahoma State Superintendent. That alone should tell Republicans much of what they need to know. This article also claims that the Democratic candidate, Janettie Marshall, has “aligned with Republicans, including Ryan Walters,” yet provides zero examples to support that claim. This is the same tactic the media used to try to discredit Dr. James Taylor during the Republican primary. I endorsed Taylor (R) because I believed he was the best fit for the position. However, as we approach November 3rd, voters are now faced with these two candidates. We can add poor and biased journalism to Tulsa World’s résumé. Vote for whichever candidate you believe is best, but please do not be duped by the liberal media.

Something for Oklahomans to Keep in Mind: Oklahoma’s State Superintendent of Public Instruction is elected by the people. The six other members of the Oklahoma State Board of Education are appointed by the governor, subject to confirmation by the Oklahoma Senate. The elected superintendent also serves on the board. The State Board of Education adopts administrative rules governing public education, within the authority granted by state law. However, the board and superintendent do not have unlimited authority. Under Oklahoma’s Administrative Procedures Act, proposed permanent administrative rules are submitted to the Legislature for review. The Legislature can approve or disapprove rules, including disapproving all or part of a rule, through the statutory process. The governor also has a role in the process. This is an important check on the authority of the State Board of Education and the State Department of Education. Your state representative and state senator can review proposed education rules through the legislative process and take action on them. They can also pursue legislation to change the laws that govern public education. Oklahoma’s Constitution and statutes establish the responsibilities of the State Board of Education and the Legislature. These checks and balances help ensure that education policy operates within the authority established by law. Your government is most responsive to the will of the people when citizens actively engage in the legislative process. This is not a process where an election is won & the people then just have to sit & wait four years for the next election to see change.

Since taking office in 2024, I have reserved endorsements for situations in which I feel they are absolutely necessary. The only political endorsement I have made was for Dr. James Taylor. I endorsed Dr. Taylor because I met with him in person and heard his vision and passion for education and our students. I also observed his “Republican” opponent, Dr. Robert Franklin, promoting “DEI” principles as “biblical.” These diversity, equity, and inclusion policies are, of course, rooted in socialist ideas and promote blatant racial discrimination. I felt the need to endorse against Dr. Robert Franklin for the safety of our students and the protection of our tax dollars in public education. Now, I have come across an article that Dr. Robert Franklin promoted on an old Facebook page of his in 2025, pushing a socialist agenda and making claims that these principles are essentially biblical and Christian—which is, of course, completely false. Oklahoma, please be careful, do your research, and make your voices heard when you go to vote on Tuesday, November 3! The truth matters. 🇺🇸

What’s happening in Paris, France, should be a warning to America, especially as we approach the midterm elections. Get out & vote. Sharia law and radical Islam, enabled by mass migration, threaten to undermine a nation’s values and culture. Socialism has failed the French people. Capitalism works. Democrats are pouring money into elections now more than ever, even in red states like Oklahoma, while advocating for socialist policies and DEI approaches that contribute to the growth of radical Islam and its influence in our nation and state. We cannot take anything for granted.

Charlie Kirk was murdered, and they tried to kill your president. Republicans, especially Christians, need to get out and vote now more than ever. Those who wish to undermine what this nation 🇺🇸 stands for are hoping you’ll be too fatigued to vote. Don’t let them get the best of you.

An anti-Israel or anti-Jewish stance, even if unintentional, inevitably aligns with and advances the cause of Islamic Sharia law.
