RIG AND DIE.
Let me say this directly to every INEC
@inecnigeria official who thinks they can compromise the electoral process and get away with it.
This election is not going to be business as usual.
INECโs ICT Director has confirmed that some of the commissionโs own registration officers across the country compromised the registration process, using their official access to introduce questionable records, including AI-generated photographs, into the national votersโ register.
These are not ordinary Nigerians tampering with a government database.
These are people entrusted with protecting the integrity of our electoral system.
People with privileged access who have allegedly used that access to compromise the very process they are employed to protect.
And you expect Nigerians to take this lightly?
Remember Emeka Ike? His personal voter registration information was extracted from INECโs backend and published by Lere Olayinka, an aide to Nyesom Wike.
INEC itself traced the disclosure to an insider. The police questioned Olayinka and detained an electoral officer during the investigation. Where is the final outcome of that investigation? What disciplinary action has followed?
The case was dismissed few days ago, just like that.
Now we are being told that registration officers across the country have compromised the votersโ register.
How many more breaches must happen before somebody is held accountable?
Let every INEC official understand something: your access to the electoral database is not a licence to manipulate, falsify, leak or compromise Nigeriansโ electoral information. Your position is a public trust, not a political weapon.
Peter Obi said: โIf you try to rig us, we will rig you.โ
That warning must not be lost on anyone, including INEC officials. Nobody should imagine that they can manipulate the process and expect Nigerians to remain silent.
Every irregularity will be challenged.
Every compromised official must answer to Nigerians.
To those who think they can use their positions inside INEC to frustrate the democratic will of Nigerians, understand that itโs not business as usual.
2027 must not be an election where electoral officials decide the outcome before Nigerians even get to the polling units.
Every official entrusted with our democracy must understand the consequences of betraying that trust.
