On the night of October 23, a data center operated by Russia’s Federal Tax Service was attacked in Gorodets, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. The facility is one of the Federal Tax Service’s two key data centers operating in a geographically distributed configuration. It stores and processes information from state registries, including tax databases. A strike on this facility could potentially affect the operation of Russia’s government information systems. The extent of the damage and the consequences of the attack have yet to be confirmed.

Tonight brought me to tears. At 3:00 AM, Kyiv was attacked again. Ballistic missiles. Reported Zircon missiles. Up to 15 missiles, according to initial reports. This is the THIRD wave of ballistic attacks we’ve endured tonight. 10:00 PM. 2:00 AM. 3:00 AM. I broke down crying. Some of the explosions were near my friend’s neighbourhood. I could hear them from my room. And she wasn’t answering my messages. I was terrified. Then the explosions continued across Kyiv, with reports of strikes affecting residential areas. And here I am, sitting on the floor, closing my eyes, listening. I have learned what a missile sounds like as it flies through the air. I have learned to recognize the terrifying sounds that come before an explosion. I even catch myself describing them while recording videos. DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW FUCKED UP THAT IS? I’m wiping tears from my face as I write this. I’m fucking scared. I’m afraid to read the news because I don’t know how many people have been killed or injured tonight. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. Fuck Russia’s terror against Ukrainian civilians. And to Donald Trump, the White House, and everyone who calls Putin a “humanitarian” while speaking about peace: Look at what is happening to us. We need air defence. We need protection. We need the means to survive these attacks. Our lives are not bargaining chips in your negotiations.
