That’s a wrap! Our #SFTechWeek, by land, air, and court: a blimp over the Bay, HappyRobot cars between venues, and our very own padel tournament. It was a pleasure meeting so many of you. Until next time, San Francisco @Techweek_ 🤖

In my @Forbes_es interview, Marina Specht asked me what our Series C meant beyond the number. My answer was trust. We got here because our customers keep choosing to work with us. They show that trust in many ways: they let our engineers work side by side with their teams, show us how their operations really run, let us come back with ideas for what to build next - and some have even invested in our rounds. That trust is earned slowly, and it comes from being customer-obsessed. When you put customers first in everything you do, revenue, fundraising and growth inevitably follow. In voice AI, what an agent says is only half the problem. The harder half is how it says it: where it breathes, when it pauses, which word it stresses. Getting that right is a big part of what we build. In Q3 alone, we shipped a multimodal end-of-sentence model, echo filtering for noisy calls, WhatsApp voice notes, native Chinese and Japanese voices, and more. Among the most exciting is how we train our text-to-speech model. Standard training learns the average of many valid deliveries, with no notion of what sounds better. So we let a judge choose: we sample several deliveries of the same line, score each for naturalness, and shift the voice toward the ones people prefer. Rather than hand-writing rules for human delivery, we train models to recognize it. Our engineers break down the approach in a blog linked in comments.

I recently spoke at @EndeavorSpain, alongside Spanish founders building global companies, and felt proud of how much has changed. When I was growing up, that kind of ambition felt like something that happened in California, to other people. We've seen this before in sports. An NBA title or a World Cup used to sound like a fantasy, until Pau and the 2010 team made them real. And a kid named Alcaraz grew up watching Rafa win, then became world No. 1 himself. Now the same thing is happening in tech. Every success makes the next one feel a little more within reach. So if you're a kid in Spain with a crazy idea: you don't need to be somewhere else to think big. Let's keep building 🇪🇸🚀

SF Tech Week has 1,000+ events, and you have one week. So we partnered with @techweek_ by @a16z to give you the concierge you need to make the most of it. I'm proud to share that @HappyRobot is its official AI voice concierge, October 5–11. Meet Josh. Tell him the day you're free, your neighborhood, your time window and the kind of event you want. He helps you pick, then texts you the links to register. Give Josh a call at (888) 601-2950, or find the concierge page below 👇

Your engineers don’t need to open our UI to use the HappyRobot platform. If they live in Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, our MCP server connects straight to the platform so they can build and edit workflows through natural conversation, without leaving the coding assistant. If they'd rather write it themselves, our REST API and TypeScript SDK expose every platform resource as code - trigger workflow runs, query your data, manage phone numbers, embed voice and chat straight into your own apps. And if they want the whole agent - prompts, nodes, tools, logic versioned in their repo, workflows as code lets them build it in their own environment, review it in a pull request, and promote it to production like everything else they ship. The HappyRobot platform meets you where you build. Learn more: link in comments.

Last week the @dhl_forwarding leadership team came to our @HappyRobot office in San Francisco. We spent most of the day on one question: where can AI deliver the greatest business impact? Not which use cases we could automate, but which part of the business is worth moving. A list of use cases only ever contains what someone already thought of, and it pushes you toward what's easy to automate rather than what's worth changing. You can deliver every item on it and still not see the impact you were after. Start from the business problem instead. Understand where the bottlenecks actually are, and the things to build will become clear. The DHL team came ready to go deep: we worked through problems together and were honest with each other about what would and wouldn't work. Not many organizations at this scale approach AI this way, and it's the part of the partnership I value most. Thanks Tim and team for coming out!

I was five minutes into a speech at our new Madrid office last week when one of our own agents, HappyGuardian, cut me off and emailed the room telling everyone to put their phones away and go get a drink. Fair, really. We built it as a joke for the night, but it's a fair demo of what we do the rest of the time: agents doing real work on their own, inside the systems a company already uses. The speech was for the opening of our European hub in Madrid, which makes eight offices across three continents. San Francisco is still our headquarters, but Madrid is the base for everything we do in Europe. Thanks to everyone who came, and to everyone who got us here. There's plenty more to build - and we're still hiring. 🚀

I recently sat down with @kaitlyn_mattson at @_diginsurance to talk about where AI is taking insurance. We covered: → My advice to other insurtech leaders → How AI changes insurance over the next five years → The biggest opportunity in the next six months → The mistake I see most often We started @HappyRobot on a logistics problem. Insurance isn't that different: intake, documents, follow-ups, and teams chasing information across systems that don't share the same context. Full interview: bit.ly/4hKl1N6

Deployment teams usually get measured on whether they helped close a deal. Not surprising, really. It's the easiest thing to attribute. But closing is a fraction of what they move. Every metric a company follows should be within reach of the deployment team, not just ARR. I sat down with @ivory_tang on The Last Mile podcast to talk FDEs and deployments. We're thrilled to welcome Alberto Granados to HappyRobot as Non-Executive Chairman of Growth and Expansion. Alberto spent 30+ years in technology, most of them at Microsoft, where he was President of @MicrosoftES until 2025. He has driven AI adoption inside large organizations from the front line. We've grown to eight offices across four continents this past year. Alberto will lead where we go next, in Spain and internationally. Full announcement in the thread 👇
