Enter the "friendly physician" workaround. The corporation takes control of the medical practice through an “MSO”—a separate corporate entity traditionally meant to provide back-office admin.

In most states today, it is actually illegal for traditional corporations to own medical practices. For-profit clinics must be owned by licensed physicians.
Such "corporate practice of medicine" (CPOM) laws stem from concerns that corporations will put profits over patients.
