𝗨𝗻𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝘁-𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 I’m a doctor. I genuinely believe people deserve dignity. No one should be mocked or publicly humiliated for their weight. The discrimination, the cruelty, the way society treats fat people — that’s wrong. Full stop. But I also know what obesity actually does to a body, and I can’t pretend I don’t. I’ve seen the pancreas give up under years of high insulin. I’ve watched knees and hips fall apart under weight they were never meant to carry. I’ve looked at the heart scans. I’ve read the cancer data. I’ve sat with patients whose kidneys are failing, whose sleep apnoea is wrecking their heart every night, whose ability to just move is disappearing — and the common thread is a BMI that everyone around them has been too polite to mention. Knowing all these, am I supposed to tell people every body is beautiful, weight is just a number, health comes in all sizes, and no one should ever feel bad about how they look? No, I won't. Society has mixed up compassion with silence. We’ve decided the kindest thing is to tell someone heading toward type 2 diabetes, heart failure, sleep apnoea, ruined joints and higher cancer risk that their body is perfect and then change the subject. Is this kindness? It's not, ultimately. It's comfort dressed up as care, and the clinical result looks a lot like negligence, from my perspective. My duty of care here is not to comfort but to drag the obese patient (and yes, obesity is a disease) to metabolic health, kicking and screaming, if need be. I’m not saying be mean. I’m not saying bully anyone. I’m not talking about the kind of stuff that belongs in comment sections or on the terraces. I’m saying there’s a space between “you disgusting fat person” and “your body is perfect exactly as it is.” A space for honest, decent, medically grounded conversation about what excess fat actually does over time. And as a culture we’ve decided that space doesn’t exist. Doctors (mostly) aren't scared to have the conversation but social media & pop culture have made it a difficult conversation sometimes (who wants to be cancelled on the socials?). So it doesn’t happen (maybe we are scared after all). The patient leaves feeling affirmed. Five years later they’re in clinic with a new diagnosis. I’d rather have the hard conversation once than the medical one over and over. Society needs to get a grip and stop the cowardly pandering to and enablement of obesity and the poor self-control it (almost always) implies. I would rather get an obese individual to commit to a weight loss program after a health talk, but if they do that because they were fat-shamed, you won't find this physician complaining. If you turn around your metabolic health because of fatso insults and live a healthier, longer life, you probably should find the abuser and thank them 😄 That's it. #Obesity #HonestMedicine #MetabolicHealth

People saying Arsenal must sign Nusa in January are just setting themselves up for disappointment. Never gonna happen. Not even in the summer. Liepzig will have absolutely no interest in selling mid-season if they want to qualify for the CL next season. Plus they just banked 140m for Diomande, they don't need anyone's money. And for the summer? It's Liepzig, they will demand Diomande money. Arsenal is not paying that. Know this and k ow peace

I've been surprised in the past at how much Liverpool fans (not all, but a lot) cuck (for want of a less vulgar but accurate verb) for Manchester City. Here's another exhibit. Looks like these shameless fans will carry the 'CityPool' era to their graves 😂

Adding a road to a traffic network can increase travel times when drivers independently choose routes to minimise their own journeys. More infrastructure does not always produce better collective outcomes. Sometimes, improving a system requires changing how its parts interact not simply adding more resources. HAPPY SUNDAY 🥂.

After his performance yesterday in the Liverpool-Man City match, and remembering he was the one who sent off Declan Rice against Brighton for that little nudge of the ball, I concluded that Chris Kavanagh exists to give bad decisions against City's main rivals. ❌ November 2025: He also disallowed a Van Dijk's equaliser against City, prompting Liverpool to lodge a formal complaint. Did a quick AI search and what do you know: Chris Kavanagh is from Ashton-under-Lyne, a town in Greater Manchester, England . 📍 Hometown Details · Location: Ashton-under-Lyne is roughly five miles from the Etihad Stadium in Manchester . · Career Start: He began refereeing at the age of 13 in local football . Funny thing is the Manchester officials are not allowed to officiate Manchester clubs But they can officiate non-Manchester rival clubs of Manchester City. Who's fooling who? 😃 PS: He was the referee that gave us "After Review, the West Ham number 19...", but that was clearly a VAR intervention. Kavanagh must have been seething, the cheating b*****d

Just thinking about the Saka situation again and I blame Arteta. The blame is on him squarely. Remember all the stupid talk about 'top players must be able to play all the games'? I ranted here many times that the nonsense didn't take into consideration individual physiology/durability. Not everyone is an Inaki Williams or Frank Lampard. Kept playing him every game and his forwards have to do serious defensive work unlike some other teams. We called for another LW to be signed as back up for years, but nothing. Not until his hamstring tore off his bone. Arsenal did this to him, and by Arsenal, I mean Arteta Thinking about the 'top players must play every game' stuff boils my blood. What a stupid stupid statement! We did the same to Havertz too btw and now he too is injury prone. White as well, although he was unfortunate with the Timber ACL that meant he had to play all the games. What I don't get is where we're the Arsenal medical team in all of these? Why did they not speak up when Arteta was running mad with his 'top players play every game' rhetoric? Maybe they did and he was wouldn't listen. General Arteta, the Dictator

This JJ Gabriel situation that Man U have found themselves in is just weird. Don't get me wrong, any bad situation for Man U will always be funny to me - they haven't finished paying for their sins under Fergie. But at the same time I wish they would stop being so pathetic. They shouldn't allow a parent with mental health issues (nobody that is well changes his preadolescent son's name from their ancestral name because of marketing) to hold the club to ransom. Go and get one or two of the next great S. American talents and tell Gabriel's dad to fuck off. The whole situation is actually emblematic of how far Man U have fallen post-Fergie. Or under Glazer ownership.

Actually, you don't understand the movie industry, humans and movies at all. Snyder wasn't hired to faithfully reproduce the comics in movie form, he was hired to create artistic and commercial success. He did. And the vast majority of movie-watching humans just want to be entertained. We don't belong to your comic book cults. If you hardcore comic lovers don't like the movies, stop watching. Or create your own superheroes, write the comics, source for capital and produce your your own movies
Jack Snyder does not understand super man at all. There is a very good reason why Jonathan Kent dies of an heart attack or a an incurable disease in the comics … It’s because it’s the one thing Clark Kent cannot save him from. It’s supposed to teach him a lesson that as powerful as he is, he cannot save everyone. In this scene, Jonathan kent dies from a tornado…Superman can 100% save him from a tornado without being seen if he wanted to. Stupid plot.

Never mind the clumsy engagement-bait here, but wtf even does 'intimacy' mean? Sex. It is a word. Three letters. One syllable. Has worked fine for centuries. At what point did a perfectly functional, universally understood, three-letter word get replaced by a soft, vaguely clinical term that sounds like something a couples therapist writes on a whiteboard while your marriage falls apart? When did we agree that 'sex' is a swear word? When did we become such a spineless specie? The modern man is emasculated. He cannot say what he means. He must soften everything. He must package his intent in seven layers of emotional bubble wrap before presenting it to the world, almost guiltily. We don't have to use crude language, but we should try just saying what we mean with the words that perfectly describes it. There is a middle ground between vulgarity and whatever "we were intimate" is supposed to mean. Just say what you mean man. "We had sex" is perfectly functional. Use the word that means the thing you are describing and quit the woke nonsense.
Bro to bro: Neverrrrrr everrrr urinate before intimacy.

Hands down the funniest thing about the City 115 charges thing is their fans genuinely believe the PL will suffer for exposure and revenue if City are expelled. A club that can't fill its stadium, can't sell out cup final tickets, whose treble parade was so small the open-top bus probably had to do laps around stadium 😄 Some of them are so dumb they are citing City's revenue as evidence the PL will suffer. Dummies don't understand those revenues are fake and that exactly is the point of the whole 115 charges proceedings

𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝗘𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗶 𝗘𝘇𝗲'𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗔 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲? Listening to an Arsecast from immediately after the summer transfer window closed, and the other guy was telling Andrew that Eze would see the lack of further LW signings as a huge opportunity for him given that Tzolis is young, unproven in the PL, would require time to adapt. He thought/hoped Eze would be able to stamp his authority on the Arsenal LW It hasn't turned out like that at all. Calling it early, like Fabrizio does for transfers, the Eze signing is a failure. I was thinking what is it that Tzolis does that makes Arteta prefer him? I'm not sure it's simply tracking back. I have a theory. I think it's what he does with the ball. Tzolis gets the ball and immediately runs at the FB. His goal is to get into the left half space in and around the box and either cross, cut back or shoot. Eze almost always goes inside immediately when he receives the ball on the flank, so the ball ends up in midfield rather than that Tzolis/Trossard zone in the left half space. I understand Eze is a midfielder at heart, but I'm still surprised he can't just do the same things Tzolis does. He's a more skilful player than Tzolis. Just run at the FB and cut inside for a shot or cross. Is that too hard? Back in the day, Rosicky was a midfielder, a #10, but he adapted to playing as a winger on occasions. Eze might not be a winger but he has enough technique and football IQ to do what Tzolis does. Tzolis is not a particularly adept dribbler really, though he's decent using body movements and momentum to deceive his marker. Eze cutting in on the corner of the box opens up the space for far post curlers, could be cash money - he's probably our best shooter. Saying he's a failure might be premature. But if we sold him tomorrow, what he has done so far would be bordering on failure. Not a disaster like Wirtz but really subpar.

Rodri on Manchester City charges: “What we did, they cannot take it out of us. It's something that is not paid by money”. “It's paid with effort, with partnership, with being shoulder to shoulder every day…”. March 10, 2024, at Anfield. Stonewall last minute penalty for Liverpool. Not given, match ended in a draw. I watched that match, I was fuming. Paid with partnership, yes. Partnership with PGMOL

What is it about Brazilian wingers and strikers that they almost always look washed in their late 20s? Does anyone know a Brazilian winger who played at the top level of European football at 29 or 30 years? Are they age cheats?

A woman was gangraped by 7 young men, University students, for hours and this scum of earth is saying they shouldn't be ruined. What does he want for the bastards? Community service? They are animals and should be locked up for 30 years minimum
The anger over this handling is completely valid, but demanding permanent ruin rather than fair accountability risks undermining real justice.

Why are so many people, Manchester City fans especially, saying the PL can't just relegate the club? Juventus are a much bigger club than City and they were relegated for match fixing. Serie A didn't get liquidated. There's zero jeopardy to the Premier League if they send the cheating scum down to League 2

Let's all laugh at Chelsea, they had an even more farcical end to the window than Arsenal's. Let's recap. Everton had doubts about Balogun's fitness during the medical and pivoted to Zirkzee instead. Chelsea takes advantage of that and Monaco's need to sell, and comes back hard for Lamine Camara after agreeing to sell Enzo Fernández to Man City. An important context is that Monaco didn't want to sell to Chelsea, not at the price Chelsea wanted. They told Chelsea all day the price for Camara would be €70m and would have preferred to sell Balogun instead if Chelsea wouldn't pay their asking price. The Blues reach a deal with the Monegasques for €55m for Camara after Everton pulled out of the Balogun deal. But United wouldn't let Zirkzee go, and Everton had already let Beto leave. They go back for Balogun, renegotiating a reduced fee. Monaco, who preferred to lose Balogun, agreed to lower the terms and blocked Camara's exit to Chelsea minutes before the deadline. And once it's all wrapped up, with everything agreed between Everton and Monaco, Balogun himself cancelled the signing and heads back to Monaco without signing the deal. Another wrinkle to the whole mess is that Liverpool had apparently been telling Monaco and Camara all day to wait, that if the ideal deal can't be made they would love to come in for him in the future. MacAllister is still at Liverpool and is not moving this summer but Liverpool evidently planning a move for Camara in the winter or summer windows of 2027. This was music to the ears of Monaco executives as they would have believed they would definitely get their €70m in this case. Result: Chelsea ends up without Enzo Fernández and without a replacement (they may have to stuff £125m into a jersey and stick it in midfield), Everton ends up without Beto and without a replacement (Barry as the only striker), and Monaco, which needed to sell, ends up with Camara and Balogun but without the cash. Everyone f**ked. This has been the most extraordinary deadline day in years 😃😃😃
🚨🚨 BREAKING: LAMINE CAMARA DEAL OFF. AS Monaco cancel Lamine Camara-Chelsea deal after a written agreement between clubs, as they proceed with Balogun sale to Everton. ⚠️ Chelsea are FURIOUS as call it a deeply unprofessional way to conduct business.
