Something interesting happened this morning taking my son to school.
The teacher asked kids to bring a flag to discuss and show the class. My son chose the American flag. I didn’t care about its controversy, but parents gave me mean looks as he carried it. If not that flag, what? I’ve never been so bothered by such looks. I usually don’t care what others think, but this really bothered me. I told my son not to worry about what people say or how they look at him—just hold it up proudly, because this is our home.
Now I’m on my way to Costco to buy a big-ass American flag to put in front of my house. 🇺🇸 ̢̛ͥ̀̽̽ͨ̌̓͆̇̀̽ͦͨͫͯ̏̎̇̈̚͜҉̕͢͏͡҉̸̶̛͢͡҉̵̨̭̳̘̹̫͔͖̜̠͖̫̲̖̱̤̻̖͉͢͞͡ͅͅ͏̸̷̢͑̊̀̐ͣͭͭ̉͂ͨ̽͒̊̎͛ͪ̊̎ͩͧ̀͝͠͠͏̸̵̵̷̵
