An ex-Green Light guy told me that Jerry Boykin was evaluated as a non-select for Delta because even in 1970's Army he was considered a fringe extreme religious nut, but Charlie Beckwith felt guilty because Boykin'd been wounded with Project Delta in 'Nam & old boy'd him in.
