“What matters is the end product,” This is the problem. Sweeney and everyone who believes this fundamentally do not understand the importance of media. THE MEDIUM IS THE MESSAGE. Everyone involved in creating something needs to understand what this means.
When I was writing Unreal Engine 1, my time was divided as follows: - Around 30% went to seriously deep coding on hard problems: assembly language texture mappers, C++ BSP trees, data persistence, object oriented systems design, and networking. - Around 70% was just typing and refactoring large bodies of code needed for a complete engine feature set. This was not hard, and while I was doing it my mind was mostly on the deeper coding topics, thinking and planning for what's next. It didn't feel much different from vibe coding today, except that it was just me typing code on an IBM Model M keyboard rather than prompting it and reviewing the results. So, it has always seemed perfectly logical that we would rely on AI for that 70%, once the AI could do it with a similar quality standard as we could, which has never been perfection. It came as no surprise that, after a few years of AI model evolution, it was able to take the reigns on that 70% and free up programmers' time for more valuable tasks. What's more of a surprise is the emergence of AI as a sort of insta-Carmack able to solve hard technical problems quite cleverly and often cleanly, and that it's able to reason about and work in complex 3D scenes both by operating the tools and by directly understanding the raw data files. I abandoned assembly language in 1998 when out-of-order CPUs made much simpler C/C++ code faster, and never I missed it. If prompting through architectural documents, concept art, and design plans can transcend typing code and tweaking vertices, that will enable developers to spend their time on higher-level, higher value technical and creative tasks. What matters is the end product, whether it's a game or an engine. Anything developers can do to try out more ideas and make better software and games faster is a win for everyone.

I will assume any response critical of this statement is a bot. It was proven that most Ukraine critical posts were bots this past week and yeah, it sure does seem like some bots found this post.

I think we have reached the pinnacle of moral collapse in the USA. I have never expected the government to think that livestreaming an execution by gunfire is a good idea. The amount of people who are going to see this (including children) & be scarred forever will be immense...

I remember a time when I saw a man kill himself on a freeway because of an HOA when I was a kid on TV. These things live with you. So many kids will see this and it will be with them for life. Are we really so desensitised that people do not care?

This all just seems so evil to me. Things seemed so positive to me and moving in the right direction growing up. Yes there were events and struggles that rocked the world. I never felt a moral collapse imminent until Trump got on the scene. The world changed... & now we are here.

Dolphins fans don't deserve Malik Willis. They already salivating for drafting a new QB. Haven't even seen Willis play. As a Green Bay fan, I wish we sent him to a place with some classier fans. He gonna play well and they will shift their tune, but I will remember their whinning

Everybody was told someone in the audience had tourettes...the film he was there for was about tourettes. I have been called shit by people without tourettes plenty of times. If the person had tourettes that caused it I would Def laugh it off, and understand it was their disease.

1. Where was Barack Obama born, please? 2. Why was Trump fired from the apprentice? 3. Who are the Central Park 5? 4. What statues were the "very fine people" in Charlottesville marching to protect? 5. How many Haitian migrants were revealed to truly be "illegals" who were eating pets? 6. Why were Trump & his dad indicted by the Nixon DOJ?  7. Did Trump tell the truth abt Shay Freeman & Ruby Moss? 8. What did Trump say about Indian gaming? 9. Why is Colin Kaepernick a worse human being than Vladimir Putin? 10. Why did DT fight to keep US military bases named after White Supremacist Confederates? 11. Why does DT keep praising monuments to White Supremacist Confederates? 12. How many white politicians has Trump told to "go back where you came from?" 13. What did DT say abt Judge Curiel? 14. How many majority-white nations has Trump called "shithole countries?" Racism that doesn't bother people who don't mind racism is still racism. Donald Trump is so racist his crosses burned themselves.
You are blind! I will pray for you! Name one racist thing trump has done! Get over the race bs
