📢 ICARS launches ICARS Africa in partnership with
@Amref_Worldwide.
We’re excited to announce the establishment of
#ICARSAfrica, our new regional presence hosted by Amref Health Africa in
#Nairobi. Supported by
@wellcometrust, this partnership will accelerate locally driven, evidence-based solutions to address antimicrobial resistance (hashtag#AMR) across the continent.
🌍 Africa faces one of the world’s highest AMR burdens, with AMR-associated deaths projected to reach 4.1 million annually in the region by 2050. With ICARS Africa, we’re strengthening our ability to work alongside countries to develop context-specific, sustainable interventions aligned with National AMR Action Plans.
