A 33-year-old Idaho State Correctional Institution resident died after being found unresponsive Monday, October 19 from apparent self-harm. Staff performed lifesaving measures. The resident was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead at 5pm on Tuesday October 20.

The resident was pronounced dead at 12:23 p.m. on Sunday. No foul play is suspected. ISP responded.

A 66-year old ISCC resident, who sustained life-threatening injuries following an assault on Wed., 9/2/26, has died. IDOC staff and paramedics performed life‑saving measures, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The resident was pronounced dead at 7:45 p.m. ISP is investigating.

A 52-year-old South Idaho Correctional Institution (SICI) resident, who was found unresponsive, has died. SICI staff performed life-saving measures until EMT arrived. The resident was pronounced dead at 1:47a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. No foul play is suspected.

A 45-year-old resident at South Idaho Correctional Institution suffered a medical emergency while on work release. Correctional staff, EMS, and a Life Flight crew provided lifesaving measures, but were unsuccessful. The resident was pronounced deceased at 6:24 p.m. on July 11.

IDOC is issuing a notice of death of a male inmate housed on death row at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution. Erick Hall passed away on February 9, at 9:58 p.m. from natural causes at a local hospital. Hall was serving a death sentence for two first-degree murder convictions.
