تسببت الفيضانات في تضرر مجتمعات في مختلف أنحاء شرق #سوريا، ما استدعى استجابة من الهلال الأحمر العربي السوري (@SYRedCrescent) بدعم من الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات الصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر وشركائه. في الحسكة ودير الزور والرقة، يعمل موظفو ومتطوعو الهلال الأحمر العربي السوري على توفير مواد الإيواء والرعاية الطارئة والمساعدات الغذائية وغير الغذائية والرعاية الصحية، إلى جانب التوعية بالسلامة. وتُنفَّذ الاستجابة بالتنسيق مع السلطات المحلية، وبدعم من الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات الصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر، واللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر، وبرنامج الأغذية العالمي، وصندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان، والصليب الأحمر الألماني.

Floods have affected communities across eastern #Syria, prompting a response by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, with support from @ifrc and its partners. In Hasakah, Deir Ez-Zor and Raqqa, @SYRedCrescent staff and volunteers are providing shelter materials, emergency care, food and non-food assistance, healthcare, and safety awareness. The response is being carried out in coordination with local authorities and supported by IFRC, the @ICRC, the @WFP, the United Nations Population Fund (@UNFPA), and the German Red Cross (@roteskreuz_de).

Across the West Bank, intensified operations are heightening protection risks for civilians. Casualties, displacement and movement restrictions continue to affect communities and severely constrain access to essential services, including emergency medical care. Despite these challenges, Palestine Red Crescent Society (@PalestineRCS) staff and volunteers continue to provide emergency medical care and ambulance services to communities in need. The safety and protection of civilians, humanitarian personnel and medical teams must be respected at all times. PRCS personnel and ambulances must be granted rapid, safe and unhindered access to provide life-saving care.

Specialized medical care can make a life-changing difference for patients waiting for essential surgery. Through its medical convoy in Sudan, the @QRCS is bringing together medical specialists from Qatar and Sudan to provide up to 116 free surgeries and strengthen the capacity of local healthcare teams.

The @iraqircs, with technical support from the @ifrc MENA Regional Office and the @RedCrossLebanon, conducted a workshop entitled “Epidemic Preparedness and Response in Communities” for volunteers from the Baghdad, 23- 25 Oct, 2026. The workshop aimed to strengthen the capacity of volunteer teams to effectively prepare for and respond to epidemics, while enhancing community awareness of epidemic risks, prevention measures, and the importance of early action to protect public health. This activity was implemented as part of the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Project, supported by the @rodekorsnorge.

The @iraqircs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, organized a workshop in Baghdad, with technical support from the IFRC MENA Regional Office and the @RedCrossLebanon, to strengthen participants’ capacities in identifying community signals to indicate emerging health risks. The planning workshop supports early detection and timely response to health threats under the 2026 Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Project, supported by the @rodekorsnorge.
