So, how can these risks be addressed?
Presenting the Policy Risk Assessment findings, our programme manager, Ken Marau, outlined a two-track mitigation roadmap: immediate administrative interventions alongside longer-term legislative reforms.

4/ But how do we measure whether these interventions are working? Building on the proposed mitigation roadmap, Dr. Peter Magati presented an accountability framework linking institutional responsibilities to measurable outcomes and verifiable results.

Exactly! The assessment goes beyond identifying policy gaps to outlining practical measures for addressing them. The focus now is on translating these recommendations into coordinated action to strengthen tobacco control in Kenya.

Faith leaders can help bring food policy conversations closer to communities.
Last week, IILA joined the @KenyaNCCK workshop in Machakos to develop sermon guides on healthier food policies, including warning labels, child protection, and trans fat regulation.

Harmful iTFAs have no place in our food!
As IILA's Kelvin Mithamo emphasizes, strong regulations must protect every Kenyan, regardless of where they shop.
