In 2026, William Contreras won Venezuela’s first ever world championship and Milwaukee’s first ever World Series and won MVP at the WS. Only thing left for him is to win Venezuela’s first ever gold medal in baseball at the 2028 Olympics

Shugo Maki would have been such a sneaky good pickup when other Japanese players get more headlines. His increase in pulled fly balls would have set him up well to succeed in MLB. When he eventually comes over, he’ll for sure be a first baseman.
As expected the DeNA BayStars will not post 2B/1B Shugo Maki to MLB this offseason.
Maki has previously expressed a desire to play stateside but will be staying in NPB for at least one more season.

Tseng has been the best reliever in the CPBL and has a fastball that can touch around 98 MPH. I think he ultimately signs with a Pacific League team in NPB.
Fubon Guardians' closer Tseng Jyun-Yue (曾峻岳) has filed for international free agency.
The 24-year-old fireballer posted a 1.57 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 32.7 K%, 30.9 Whiff% over 51.4 innings in 2026.
As per Merit Times, a team from MLB National League Central has approached Tseng.

Interesting thing is the game baseball actually evolved from is older than Cricket. Modern baseball was heavily influenced by the Polish game “Palant.” It was played by Polish immigrants in the colonies in the early 1600’s and people came to watch them play on Sunday afternoons
The Cricket vs Baseball debate is HOT right now. As someone who loves and understands both sports here are my thoughts.

Astros owner attended game 3 of Taiwan Series yesterday. The Astros are a team that will be getting heavy into the Taiwan market and it is only a matter of time until MLB hosts regular season games at the Taipei Dome.
“There’s a lot of potential in Taiwan.”
Those were the words of Houston Astros Chair Jim Crane as he attended a ceremony to sign an MOU aimed at strengthening baseball ties between Taiwan and the US.

Nicaragua has announced its roster for next month’s Premier12 qualifier in China. Notable player on the team is former Brewers minor league pitcher Melvin Hernández. He had a 2.00 ERA in 121 2/3 innings in A ball as a 19 year old in 2025

Do-yeong Kim hit a titanic blast for a grand slam today as the KIA Tigers eliminated the LG Twins in the final ever game at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul. His 475 ft bomb nearly cleared the entire stadium to LCF and was tied for the longest home run in KBO playoff history

In the last 19 seasons, the Rays have made more World Series than the Yankees, Blue Jays, Mets, Cubs, Cardinals, Braves, Red Sox. They have the same amount as the Phillies and Giants, one less than Houston and two less than the Dodgers. The best organizations win. Period.
This is why #MLB needs both a salary floor and a salary cap. The industry payroll differential is so exaggerated that half the teams literally have no-chance at a World Championship.

Bingo. It’s insanely difficult to hit in today’s game. 4th and 5th starters twenty years ago were sitting 85-87 MPH and allowed to face lineups three times through. Those guys can’t even reach AAA anymore. Pitching is so far ahead of hitting cause the stuff is otherworldly
You can make the bases bigger, tell the defense where to play, control the pick off attempts, but none of that can help a human react and handle the pitching stuff that we’re seeing in today’s game. At some point, we’ll have to move the mound back. #1890

Carlos Arroyo with a three run double and Colombia leads Spain 8-0 in the qualifier finale. The bats shook off the rust and have got it going on day 3 for Colombia. Had they scheduled exhibition games before the qualifier, this qualifier might have gone differently for them.

The Yankee culture is fine. They’re losing in the playoffs because in a do-or-die game, they started guys who had the following OPS+ this season: 95, 92, 84, 81, 76, 74. Same game Tampa started 7 players who were above average hitters. It is a talent issue
It is if you only see it at the surface level. Its dumb AF. Facial hair has nothing to do with being productive on the field. Once you understand that the tweet is about changing the culture back to what made the team
Iconic then you will understand. When you come to the Yankees theres an expectation, a standard, a responsibility on and off the field. you can get in line or leave.

For the first time 3 European nations have qualified for the Premier12. The number could reach 5 after the China qualifier. There could be as many as 9 nations at the 2027 Premier12 competing for 2 spots in the Olympics.
Spain has qualified for its first #Premier12 in country history, while Italy returns for the first time since 2015. Europe's baseball growth continues: mlb.com/news/spain-and-italy…
