Fees on @CantonNetwork reached $49.9M in October, up 2% from September and the first monthly increase since February. The network burned 449M $CC, which covers 65% of the month’s issuance, up from 62% in September. Net new supply eased to 240M CC from 270M.
Adoption continued to build. The network gained 27.1K new parties, 13% more than in September, bringing the total to 922K. 10 new Featured Apps were approved, up from 7 a month earlier. Total transactions declined 23% to 26.9M as private activity slowed, while public transactions held steady at 6.5M. Trading volume was $498M, roughly flat on the month.

In the past two weeks @CantonNetwork processed 12.3M transactions and onboarded 10.5K new parties. Users paid $22.1M in fees, which burned 204M $CC, about two thirds of everything minted over the same period.
◆ @The_DTCC shared details of its Tokenization Service, which will launch with 25 securities and support Canton as one of two networks live at launch.
◆ @BitSafe_Finance launched BETH, ETH backed 1:1, and it’s already trading on Temple.
◆ @circle is getting ready to issue USDC natively on Canton.
◆ @temple_ny chose @tZERO as its ATS for trading tokenized securities.
◆ Canton generated $155M+ in fees in Q3, according to @CertiK Skynet.
◆ At Canton Summit 2026 in New York, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Nasdaq, HSBC, DTCC and others discussed Canton as the rails for global markets. More than 650 firms have connected in two years, per @digitalasset.
◆ Super Validators approved CIP-0129, a universal burn model by @digitalasset and @FiveNorthHQ. Every production synchronizer will burn CC under the same pricing.
◆ CIP-0127 passed too, which means Featured App and SV lock requirements will be enforced on-chain. Featured Apps currently have 73% of their required CC locked. SVs have locked 66.8% of their rewards, short of the 70% they need.
◆ HackCanton Season 3 by @appsfactory_cc wrapped with 450+ builders and 59 submissions. Canborsa Lending by @Canborsa_DEX took first place, ahead of Exodus and Tavryn.

In the past 30 days @CantonNetwork burned 431M $CC (~$51M in fees), all on the Global Synchronizer. Dedicated synchronizers burned none.
CIP-0129 by @ShaulKfir and @Bc1pxxx, approved by Super Validators yesterday, will put all synchronizers on one burn model.

At $60/MB a transaction costs about $1, which prices out payments and trading at scale. Dedicated synchronizers will therefore get their own pricing on top of the list price.
The rate per MB will fall as sustained throughput grows. Operators can also commit to a year or more of throughput, backed by CC collateral, and get three extra discounts: for committing, for posting more collateral, and for each year the commitment stays in place.
The Global Synchronizer will keep a single price.

Universal Burn is targeted for Q1 2027, volume pricing and commitment discounts for Q3 2027, once a follow-up CIP sets the exact numbers. Issuance and the reward split stay unchanged.
