Star Wars Galactic Racer is absolutely amazing, but it's not the first racing roguelike. Try our previous game, Road Redemption on Steam. The whole campaign is playable in 2-4player splitscreen.

This is very well done.
pretty wild how i could animate fairly realistic armored combat with homemade action figures and hollywood still can’t figure it out with an infinite budget

People don't realize how fast the internal storage of the PS5 and Xbox Series are. The M.2 NVMe SSD in the PS5 can read at 5500MB per second. A Bluray disc can be read at about 50MB per second. Do you want load times that are 100x longer?
PHYSICAL VIDEO GAMES SHOULDN'T NEED TO BE INSTALLED, THEY SHOULD BE IN THE DISK LIKE THE GOOD OLD DAYS

When you make things wet and dark, the job gets much easier. Every surface becomes smooth and reflective. Indirect lighting becomes a non-issue. It’s why the original Jurassic Park T-rex scene looks so much better than any other 90s CGI.
I truly don’t understand what happened.

When it comes to UI design, I think the goal should be to make icons as intuitive as possible. The less you have to teach the player, the better. For instance, which icon would you click on to see ammo?

Knowing how it works illustrates its huge limitations. It has a long long way before someone could make an actual videogame with this technology.

We're still working feverishly, 24/7, to make sure Kingmakers (the videogame) lives up, and hopefully exceeds, the hype. We're very excited about the movie too!
A movie adaptation of ‘KINGMAKERS’ is in the works at Netflix The game is set in medieval Great Britain where players go back in time with a vast arsenal of modern weapons (Source: Deadline)

I'm happy to announce that the Kingmakers singleplayer campaign will support full multiplayer online coop. No compromises. Drop in or drop out at any time, or play through the whole thing with your friends or acquaintances.

To date, Lucky & Wild is the ONLY arcade game to combine driving and light guns. That's a damn shame.

Yes I know they're not technically "light guns".

With Kingmakers, we're obsessed with making everything interactable. If you drive a car full speed into a medieval tavern, well....

Can anyone at Azure or Microsoft help?
It’s Friday night. 8pm for you and 3am for the dev team. It’s the prime night for the Steam Next Fest. And your game, which was under development during all our war in Ukraine gets the message. Nobody is available. Your servers are down. Players are pissed. Developers are panicked . Can anyone at @Azure or @Xbox help?

Here’s an example where the literal Japanese translation is superior to the English “localization”. In Princess Mononoke, the localized version says their iron comes from "under the mountain”, but the literal translation is very different Why? What’s going on here? A thread 1/🧵

This is where FOLDING comes in. Folding is just a way of mixing up your block of steel to evenly distribute carbon and impurities. You heat it up in a forge, fold it in half, pound it back down, then fold it half again. Repeat until your steel is katana-ready! 10/🧵

And that’s why literal translation is superior to localization😁. If you’ve liked this little breakdown, please follow me here and wishlist my game, Kingmakers on Steam! Thank you. 11/🧵
