IISER Tirupati was pleased to welcome honourable Ms. Laura Williams, Consul General, U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad, along with members of the U.S. Consulate delegation, for a visit to the Institute on 5th October 2026. The delegation included Public Diplomacy Officer; Mr. T. Senthil Kumar, Public Engagement Specialist; Mr. Kari Srimali, Political and Economic Specialist; and Mr. Siba Tripathy, Political and Economic Specialist and a few US delegates. The visit provided an opportunity for meaningful discussions on strengthening India-US academic and research collaboration, fostering institutional partnerships, promoting scientific engagement, and exploring opportunities for greater interaction between IISER Tirupati and U.S. institutions. Prof. Santanu Bhattacharya, Director, IISER Tirupati, along with Dr Annapurna Allu, Associate Dean, International Relations, presented the past and ongoing collaborations of IISER Tirupati with US institutions and Dr Robin Vijay shared his research on Bioacoustics, with particular emphasis on bird biodiversity. The Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 Closing Ceremony was organised at IISER Tirupati on 
02 October 2026 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Swachh Bharat Diwas. The programme was graced by Mr. Kumar Himanshu Shekhar, Registrar-in-Charge, and 
Mr. Ramesh Damarla, Joint Registrar, along with Students, Faculty & Staff members, and housekeeping Staff of the Institute. As part of the programme, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions conducted for Staff and housekeeping Staff during the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign. 
A Swachhata Rally was also organised towards the IISER Tirupati campus, along with cleanliness activities to promote awareness of cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental responsibility. The programme highlighted the importance of cleanliness, community participation, environmental awareness, and collective responsibility in building a clean and healthy campus. The Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign was successfully organised by the Physical Education Section, IISER Tirupati, with the active participation and support of the Institute community. The closing ceremony marked the successful culmination of the campaign and reinforced the message of Swachhata, healthy living, and responsible citizenship.

National Voluntary Blood Donation Camp | IISER Tirupati IISER Tirupati successfully organised a National Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day (NVBDD) 2026 on 02 October 2026 at the Indoor Sports Arena. Held under the theme “One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives.”, the camp aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about its vital role in saving lives. The programme was graced by Mr. Kumar Himanshu Shekhar, Registrar (I/c), and Mr. Ramesh Damarla, Joint Registrar. Students, faculty and staff actively participated in the initiative. Following medical screening and eligibility assessment, 80 eligible donors successfully donated blood. The camp was organised by the Physical Education Section, IISER Tirupati, in collaboration with SVS Charitable Trust. The initiative reflected the Institute community’s commitment to social responsibility, voluntary service and health awareness.
