Most of the Bonney complaining is about the Miracle version of RG Luffy
the Strawhat build plays her as a midgame reload
Miracle mulligans for her and Law keeps replaying her
Miracle Luffy matchup cheatsheet
mirror: win the board, don't race
Rocks: attack Kyo first, then Decken
yellow Big Mom: Shanks the small guys, Decken Mom
Enel: chain Bonney turns til they run out
Elbaph Sabo: Decken the rested Loki
RG Luffy Ace: Bonney makes their leader 5k
RG Luffy doesn't need to protect every life
if ur next turn puts the defense back up and removes what made this turn expensive, taking 2 is fine. thats 2 cards
I start giving hand counter more around 1 life or when the engine isn't coming back
Black Luffy mistake: grabbing Luffy off a search when ur hand can't do anything before 8 DON
u need a useful play every turn. if ur short, use Gerd to get the next one back
RG Luffy into Enel: don't poke their life every turn
every life card is another shot at finding removal for ur board
build, attack their board, wait til 3ish bodies stick, then take a bunch of life in one turn so they don't have time to use the cards
10 cost Luffy tip for RP Luffy
swing with the board ur about to lose first, then play Luffy. everything else goes to the bottom
also the leader activation is once per turn. if u used it to reach 10 u don't get it again after the reset
RG Luffy players pls stop attacking with Usopp
one 5k swing isn't worth the guy giving u DON for defense every turn
Sanji can swing once the rest of ur engine covers the defense. Usopp stays home til its safe or its part of the finish
Kaido matchup cheatsheet
Luffy/Ace: hardest one. still take 1st, still want King on 6
Sabo: favorable. blocker Kaido first
Robin: one of the easier ones
Black Luffy: more even
Enel: fine going long. negate and KO Kaido answers their Enel
mirror: still want 1st
RP Luffy into Buggy: take first away from them when u can
Zoro making ur leader 8k means their 7k bodies need DON before they matter, and thats DON they wanted for setting up
Red Purple Luffy mulligan: no Yamato or Bon.Kurei in hand = mulligan
Garp can find them. Nami and Sunny can't
so a hand full of straw hat searches still doesn't fix missing ramp
Luffy/Ace first/second cheatsheet
Rocks: 1st, more reliable 5 DON combo
Black Luffy: 2nd. very favored
Sabo: 2nd. they punish our lack of 2k counters
Robin: 1st. favored either way
Kaido: 1st, mess up their ramp
Enel: 1st for now
mirror: 2nd, slightly
Rocks into Luffy/Ace: Gloriosa is the priority, not "just hit Xebec on 10"
take 1st, mulligan for her, and remember Linlin on 5 is fine — Gloriosa just does more against that combo
hot take: Bonney isn't the reason RG Luffy is good
Sunny Usopp Sanji Zoro already works without her. she's the reload that keeps it going when they break through ur engine
Sabo mulligan keep/ship
keep: early characters + a Giant that makes them useful (2-cost into Saul or Loki)
mulligan: Giant with no buildup, or a pile of small guys praying to draw a Giant
Ain/Ground Death don't rescue a slow opening — find them while playing
GY Robin: u can let one guy die for the heal. after that stop and count
spending counter on every character when another attacker already covers the restand is just throwing cards away
Luffy Ace mulligan: look for the combo every matchup
prefer OP12 Luffy or Sanji with enough searches to finish the hand
full combo + two events = automatic keep
three searchers with neither engine piece = mulligan. four searches + a payoff can be the exception
RG Luffy mulligan
Sunny in hand is almost always a keep, even with no Usopp or Sanji
Usopp or Sanji + search can keep without Sunny
searchers alone with no Sunny = mulligan
Bonney + Nami by itself isn't a keep. she's the midgame reload not the opener
