India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) officially takes effect from today. New Zealand has eliminated import duties on 100% of Indian merchandise exports, providing immediate duty-free access across all tariff lines. On the other side, 57% to 58.3% of New Zealand’s exports to India become tariff-free immediately, with the remainder following gradual reductions or specific structures. Both nations also aim to double bilateral trade to NZ$7 billion (approx. ₹35,000 crore) by 2030. New Zealand has committed to investing $20 billion in India over the next 15 years. The pact introduces two new Temporary Employment Entry (TEE) visa categories (allowing up to 5,000 holders at any time), expanded post-study work rights, in-study work rights for Indian students, and a new working holiday scheme. Personally, I think this will be great for boosting economic growth and opening up massive new opportunities for professionals and students in both countries.

India is rapidly accelerating its green transition, aggressively pursuing an ambitious climate target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by the end of 2030. To hit this goal, we have already crossed a monumental milestone of 308 GW in non-fossil capacity, securing over 54% of our total electricity infrastructure from clean sources Our solar energy sector spearheads this massive clean revolution with an impressive installed capacity exceeding 171 GW, driven largely by utility solar parks and expanding rooftop programs. We are also complementing solar by building nearly 59 GW of wind energy, 52 GW of large hydropower, and 9 GW of nuclear capacity to reinforce our grid. By achieving its key Paris Agreement targets 5 years ahead of schedule, the nation stands out as a definitive global leader in sustainable economic growth and green development.

Indian Army is finally getting its very own communication satellite by mid-2028. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch this satellite by mid-2028. This will be a massive upgrade for our army guarding the borders. Currently, the Army shares satellites with the Air Force, which can limit their reach. Having a dedicated space network will fix this problem completely and secure our military lines. This advanced space technology will help troops talk securely from the most remote areas. It will also allow military drones to fly much further and send real-time data back. With this new launch, all three Navy , airforce, Army will soon have their own high-tech satellites. It is good step forward for India’s national security and defense, I think it should have been done way before but anyway coming now is welcome move. Our troops work in extremely harsh areas, and having their own reliable space network will help save lives and protect borders.

Indian Railways should launch Vande Bharat Sleeper trains to connect our busiest mega-cities. Transforming overnight travel between Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad is absolutely essential. I think, the Mumbai to Bengaluru route needs this upgrade, Replacing slow 24-hour journeys with a fast 16-hour premium train would save so much time. Furthermore, I think connecting Delhi to all big cities with these modern sleeper coaches would be a game-changer. It would finally give regular travelers a world-class alternative to flights. This strategy is the only way to handle the huge passenger demand We see daily.

AdaniConneX is transforming Visakhapatnam into a massive artificial intelligence hub. Partnering with Google, they are building a green 1-gigawatt data center campus to power India’s rapidly growing digital economy. Traditional data centers waste millions of liters of water for cooling. However, Adani is adopting advanced air-cooling technology to eliminate the need for high-volume, water-based evaporative cooling systems completely. The entire project will consume less freshwater than a single Olympic swimming pool. Adani will recycle 80% of this water on-site for landscaping, kitchens, and daily worker facilities. Local drinking supplies remain entirely safe. Adani will use dedicated industrial water lines instead of municipal pipes, ensuring they never compete with nearby households for vital drinking water. Environmental safety is a top priority for this major development. Adani is implementing a strict zero-discharge policy to protect the vital Mudasarlova Reservoir and Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary. This sustainable infrastructure setup sets a brilliant new standard. Adani successfully balances cutting-edge tech expansion with strict ecological care, proving that AI growth can respect local community needs.

ISRO is setting up a mega space path for our country The journey starts with the Gaganyaan mission, which will soon send our brave Indian astronauts into orbit. Next, ISRO is building our own Bharatiya Antariksha Station. The first module will launch by 2028, and the full station will be ready for us by 2035. Then comes the ultimate dream. Our scientists are working hard to put a human on the Moon by 2040, marking a historic leap for our country's space footprint. After the Moon, ISRO is targeting the deep solar system. They have planned a Venus Orbiter Mission and an ambitious Mars landing attempt to expand our reach.

Central government is planning 5 new university townships under Budget 2026-27. 5 states are currently being considered for this massive academic and industrial project. Tamil Nadu, Assam, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha are the chosen states. They will now compete to host these special, self-contained educational hubs very soon. Each state must provide 1,000 acres of contiguous land. Also the locations must be very close to major industries so students can find jobs and training easily. Cities like Coimbatore, Jagiroad, Dholera, Amaravati, and Bhubaneswar are currently on the radar. These places will soon turn into massive knowledge cities with modern facilities. I feel the idea of Connecting major universities directly with leading industries is a fantastic way to bridge the gap between education and employment.

US government has decided not to apply proposed tariffs on India for its ongoing purchase of Russian oil and gas, keeping bilateral trade smooth. A recent American law aimed to penalise global energy buyers with heavy 100% taxes. However, both nations have successfully navigated the issue, putting these controversial trade penalties on hold for now. This step reflects practical global energy needs. While India maintains its energy ties, the US is also managing its own fuel costs by planning imports of Russian diesel to stabilise domestic prices. It creates a much more positive atmosphere just before US Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrives here for official trade discussions. Moving forward, both countries will continue to monitor their economic agreements. While the US retains the option to review these measures later, the current focus remains on cooperative and balanced trade.

India is building its very first homegrown 32-slice CT scanner. The Government is supporting a medical tech company based in Karnataka to make this advanced imaging machine locally. This big move is part of the "Make in India" plan. Right now, hospitals rely heavily on expensive imported machines, which makes advanced healthcare very costly . By manufacturing these scanners domestically,we will drastically lower equipment costs. This change will help smaller clinics and rural hospitals finally afford top-tier diagnostic technology. Eventually, this breakthrough will make crucial medical scans much cheaper for everyday people. It is a massive step toward providing high-quality healthcare to every corner of the nation. I think this is going to be incredible achievement for Indian healthcare.

New caller identification rule starting November 1 is an excellent move. It will show exact KYC name instead of fake Truecaller tags and will make identifying unknown numbers much safer. I think the good part is that this system operates natively at the network level, So We will no longer need third-party apps or constant internet connections just to filter spam calls. It is great that businesses must display their official registered titles now. This will drastically reduce fraudulent activities, making it much harder for scammers to cheat innocent people. The option to opt out makes it more better,Users who prefer keeping their identity private can easily disable the feature through their telecom provider.

Current structure of the UN Security Council reflects the geopolitical reality of 1945, not 2026. As an Indian, I believe urgent reforms are very much needed to make the council more democratic and truly representative. Our nation definitely deserves a permanent seat at the UNSC high table. As the world’s most populous country and a booming global economy and still leaving India out defenetaly undermines the legitimacy of the institution. For decades, India has been a top contributor to UN peacekeeping missions. Our brave soldiers have risked their lives worldwide, proving we always step up to protect global peace and security. Nd Most importantly Global South needs a strong voice in global governance and is undisputed leader of global South and proudly acts as a bridge between developing nations and world powers, ensuring that the challenges of poorer countries are heard. True multilateralism is impossible without fixing the undemocratic veto power. The geopolitical gridlock among permanent members often paralyzes the council which makes it completely ineffective during major global humanitarian crises. A reformed UNSC must include India to remain relevant today. Giving us a permanent seat will restore faith in global institutions and ensure a fairer, more balanced world order for everyone.

India just dispatched the first 18 modern broad-gauge passenger coaches to Bangladesh. This kickstarts a major contract to supply 200 high-tech coaches to Bangladesh This Rs 915 crore deal is being managed by RITES Limited. This is the first major rail shipment from India to Bangladesh since the recent political transition. These custom-built LHB coaches are manufactured at the Kapurthala factory. They include great features like CCTV cameras, baby care rooms, and even dedicated prayer spaces. The coaches entered Bangladesh via the Gede-Darshana link. The entire fleet of 200 trains will be fully delivered and tested by October next year. I think this project will greatly improve travel comfort for thousands of daily passengers. It is a fantastic step forward for cross-border rail connectivity.

India is focusing on a big 25-year plan to build its own critical technologies. I think this is a smart move to build our own critical technologies. We truly need this strategy to stop relying so much on foreign nations. This shift is necessary because global supply chains are breaking down and trade policies keep changing. In today's world Reliance on other countries for vital tech has become a major risk for our security. Therefore, we must focus heavily on manufacturing our own semiconductors, advanced defense equipment, and clean energy tools. True independence means creating these high-tech components right here inside our borders. To achieve this, the government is stepping in with strong manufacturing subsidies and financial funding. These policies will give our local companies the boost they need to compete globally. But factories alone are not enough, which is why we must also invest deeply in research and development. We need to support our local scientists so true innovation happens at home..

I think Delhi has India's best public transport system. The massive network connects millions of people every day, making commuting across this huge capital city incredibly smooth and efficient. Delhi Metro is the absolute crown jewel of the whole network. Digital ticketing, rapid speed, and air-conditioned coaches make daily travel across the Capital seamless and highly reliable. A massive fleet of modern electric buses supports the rail lines perfectly. They offer an affordable way to travel. However, I feel the transit system still faces little challenges with the last mile. Finding a quick auto or e-rickshaw to get home from the stations remains still little difficult. Overall, this brilliant transit network shapes daily life in the capital beautifully.

UPI Steering Committee has decided to delay the new Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) on select business transactions until after Diwali. Proposed 0.4% fee on certain merchant payments was supposed to start soon. However, officials pushed it back to support festival sales, with a new date coming later. when it does start, this rule only impacts transactions over ₹2,000. All smaller payments and personal money transfers between friends and family will stay free. I think this is a great move with the festive season right here.

I am looking at how fast some of Our states including Tamil Nadu,Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh & Uttar Pradesh are growing right now. These states drive a massive share of the national economy (accounting for nearly half of India's GDP), with recent growth rates ranging from 10% to over 15% in top performing regions. If all other states could match this high speed, our entire country would transform completely, though achieving this in practice involves distinct regional realities and challenges: For other states to catch up,they must fix deep differences in local skills and infrastructure. Landlocked or rural areas face much harder challenges than booming coastal hubs. We will realise true national progress only when slower states get the same factories and tech jobs. To become a fully developed nation we can't rely on just a few pockets. My hope is to see every corner of India rise through balanced growth. When every state wins, the whole nation wins, and no citizen gets left behind.
