Warren Buffett once said:
"The ideal business is one that earns very high returns on capital and that keeps using lots of capital at those high returns. That becomes a compounding machine.β
And luckily for us, we can learn to find these.
Let's break it down:
The market is extremely sensitive to bad news right now, and $GOOGL reports -$9 billion of free cash flows, and -26% in EPS YoY + a massive (and growing) CapEx + Slowing search which feeds into the 'AI is killing search' narrative.
Not hard to understand why Google sold off if you look at the numbers for this quarter.
The story that gets overlooked is the accelerating growth of both revenues and EBIT of the Cloud business. Just incredible.
I'm releasing a write-up on Google's earnings and the 'death of search' tomorrow, make sure you follow my newsletter (Link in bio).
"Bargains are the holy grail of the true stock picker. We see the latest correction not as a disaster, but as an opportunity to acquire more shares at low prices. This is how great fortunes are made over timeβ
