The NFLPA’s statement on the Jalen Hurts situation:

NFL owners today approved G5 financing for the Cleveland Browns' new stadium, per sources. G5 is the NFL's loan system (up to $300M) to build or upgrade. Another step toward the team's scheduled 2029 opening.

NFL officials just broke an owners-meeting presser and staunchly defended the medical process from the league and Eagles surrounding Jalen Hurts' blood clot issue. Chief medical officer Dr. Allan Sills: "The notion that there's external factors that any of our physicians would put a player in harm's way - that's nonsense."

NFL EVP Jeff Miller notes there was “considerable and uninformed speculation yesterday in the reporting” on Jalen Hurts. Notes there was “unfounded criticism” of the #Eagles’ team physicians.

The Colts signed veteran WR Mecole Hardman Jr. and punter Thomas Morstead to the practice squad. Hardman presumably will compete for playing time with a thin WR room. Morstead is insurance given the injury to punter Rigoberto Sanchez.

Torn patella tendon for Washington WR Terry McLaurin, whose season is over.

Commanders rallied internally after last week’s OT blunder. Quinn owned his fault in team meeting. Blough, Daniels did same in offensive meetings. Team sources sensed the team emerged confident, not fractured. It was almost enough tonight.

The #Rams are working out veteran kickers Brandon McManus and Matt Prater tomorrow, sources say. Over three decades of NFL experience combined between the two as Sean McVay & Co. look for a replacement for the injured Blake Grupe.
