Extremely blessed. What a journey and what a season. Congratulations, Green Hill. You deserve it. Thank you to EVERYONE who laid the foundation and our alumni for setting the standard. So proud of you and our community. #TheHill

What a night for MJ! The Mayor’s Cup is staying with the Hawks after a big win tonight at The Hill! Congratulations to Green Hill High School on the victory, and hats off to Mt. Juliet High School for a hard-fought game! Beyond the final score, tonight was a great reminder of what makes our community special. Two schools, plenty of hometown pride, and students, families, and neighbors coming together for a great night of football. Our officers enjoyed being part of the excitement, connecting with fans, and helping everyone get home safely. Two great schools. One great community. We’re proud to serve them both!

8:41 2Q: @GreenHill_Hawks 20, @MJGOLDENBEARFB 0 Green Hill’s offense continues its excellent start with its third scoring drive of the half. Sophomore quarterback Seth Frankenfield (@Seth_Frank4) calls his own number and gallops into the end zone on a 30-yard TD run.

8:00 3Q: @GreenHill_Hawks 28, @MJGOLDENBEARFB 14 Green Hill opens the second half with a touchdown that pushes its lead back to two scores. Marshall commitment Will Butler (@willbutler77) takes the direct snap around the left side for a 51-yard TD.

3:37 3Q: @GreenHill_Hawks 35, @MJGOLDENBEARFB 14 Marshall commitment Will Butler (@willbutler77) is making a killing this evening out of the Wildcat formation. He breaks free yet again for a 38-yard score that gives Green Hill a game-high 21-point lead.

2:33 1Q: @GreenHill_Hawks 13, @MJGOLDENBEARFB 0 Marshall commitment Will Butler (@willbutler77) deserves to be in the Class 6A Mr. Football conversation for plays like this. He returns a punt to the Mt. Juliet 1-yard line before scoring on the next play out of the Wildcat.

Green Hill (@GreenHill_Hawks) provided a special moment for teammate and recently-diagnosed cancer patient Alex Caskey on Friday by winning its third straight region championship and retaining the Mayor’s Cup against Mt. Juliet: @Jcrouch17 @G_HillAthletics mainstreetmediatn.com/articl…

3:23 4Q: @GreenHill_Hawks 42, @MJGOLDENBEARFB 14 Make it not one, not two, not three, but four touchdowns tonight for Marshall commitment Will Butler (@willbutler77). He’s got Green Hill on the brink of a third straight region title and a No. 1 seed in the Class 6A playoffs.

FINAL: @GreenHill_Hawks 42, @MJGOLDENBEARFB 14 Green Hill (8-2, 4-1) captures its third straight region title by retaining the Mayor’s Cup against rival Mt. Juliet. The Hawks will host a home playoff game next week against the winner of Blackman/ Rockvale. @MainStreetPreps
