His .977 matched or topped several MLB regulars (Jung .978, Shaw .977, McMahon .976) and sat firmly in the upper half, well above average with low errors. Volume of chances was solid for the games played.

Fun fact: Teruaki Sato won an NPB Mitsui Golden Glove Award (Japan's equivalent of a Gold Glove Award) at third base for his defense with the Hanshin Tigers in 2025.
