Myanmar's presidential spokesperson says Aung San Suu Kyi spoke to her son Kim Aris by phone for 20 minutes today, via the Myanmar embassy in London. It described the 81-year-old as a prisoner serving her sentence. Aris says it was their first call in over five years.
#BREAKING Aung San Suu Kyi's son Kim Aris says he has spoken to his mother for the first time in more than five years, days after King Charles sent her two books. "One conversation is not regular family access. Family access is not freedom," he wrote, urging the UK and other governments not to trade rights for legitimacy. #Myanmar #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar #AungSanSuuKyi

An unpopular foreign leader embracing an unpopular president and telling Americans to stop whining about gas prices is a great closing message for Republicans two weeks out from the midterms
President Trump, my friend Donald - thank you for your extraordinary endorsement. Israel has never had a greater friend in the White House. Together we will never let Iran's regime get nuclear weapons. Thank you for your clarity, courage and unwavering support. @realDonaldTrump

Zelenskyy, Europe and the end of Trump whispering: "With Trump weakening in the polls and Republicans apparently heading for defeat in the midterms, it could be worth appealing to Americans over the heads of the president and his cronies" @gideonrachman as.ft.com/r/3a159879-7ce0-48…

Heidi Levine, an American photographer for the Washington Post, was beaten by Israeli settlers in the West Bank today while covering an olive harvest by Palestinians. She’s now in a Ramallah hospital. This happens every day on the West Bank. Every single day. Palestinians attacked, journalists attacked, Israeli & foreign observers attacked. When is the IDF going to start taking this seriously? And where is the US embassy & Trump administration?
