One from the back catalogue, published a while back. GM Jon only started in 2025, so a ‘while back’ usually means a few months ago only… One of my more philosophical songs… piped.video/watch?v=2o76AkE2… #GMJon #TaraTurner

Do You Wanna Play For My Club? A song with lyrics by Tudor Rickards is coming in two days time... This will be the last GM Jon song published for a while. After that there will be a delay before the next GM Jon song reaches the platforms. This is due to Distrokid suddenly stopping, without even bothering to notify me, serving as distributor - with no valid reason at all for the sudden change in policy. I need to get another distributor sorted and it will take some time. Apologies to GM Jon fans for the delay. AI music is not a machine only process. A lot of human decisions go into every GM Jon song. For a start, the lyrics are human...and there are countless human decisions in guiding the AI when it creates the voice and music. I like to think GM Jon only publishes high quality AI music. Companies seem to think it is ok to discriminate against the interests of one group of people (AI Music producers) in order to enhance the interests of another group of people (music producers who do not use AI). From my perspective it just looks like prejudice. Many in the large group called 'the audience' already prefer listening to real musicians rather than AI music. That is fine, assuming they can tell the difference. Another group that loses out is those in the audience who enjoy quality AI music which is now harder to bring to the market.

Some songs i had put through the distrokid music publishing system were not going through to the usual platforms...So i chased it up and asked what is happening and got this by e-mail (below) as a reply. Anyone high up at @DistroKid care to explain what is going on? Anybody else know? GM Jon songs cannot be distributed unless the issue here is resolved or I change company. Oct 27, 2026, 09:44 EDT Hi, Hope you are well. We've been notified by stores and streaming services that one or more of your releases has been rejected due to editorial discretion. Unfortunately, stores are no longer accepting releases from you via DistroKid. You’ll need to try another distributor for future releases. Please understand that DistroKid is unable to assist with reversing this and many DistroKid features have also been restricted as a result of this. We have no other information or context, and we are unable to get involved or take sides when this occurs. We’re just the messenger, passing along this info to you in hopes you find it helpful. We understand that this email is probably frustrating to you, and we regret having to be the messenger of bad news. However, we hope this email is helpful, and we thank you for your understanding. The latest GM Jon album (featuring lyrics by John F Keane) came out today...It went through the Distrokid system just before the current restriction or ban came into play. You can judge it for yourself - it s certainly not AI slop. In my opinion here will not be many better albums published this year. piped.video/playlist?list=OL…

Looking like a hit! Professor Tudor Rickards, who is in his mid eighties and started writing songs in 2025 and has now penned over 100 of them, has knocked up another creative rap gem: Me Unwrapped (with music by GM Jon) has gone past 1000 streams in its first week on Spotify: open.spotify.com/track/4hzzX… Lyrics Me, rap? Can’t rap, don’t ask me. No way — I’m old, too sold, too cold. Me, rap? Don’t put that on me. I’m better off exactly as I’ve always been told. Too white, too establishment, Don’t need to know who pays my rent. Can’t dance, can’t swing a beat — too tight, Two left feet. I’m rigid, right? No groove, no moves, no attitude, No evidence I’ve ever understood. If rhythm’s a river, I’ve missed the boat — I stand on the bank and clear my throat. Can’t swing, can’t wing, Here’s another nerdy thing: I cannot originate, I much prefer to imitate. Give me a model, give me a rule, Give me a book and I’ll play the fool. Don’t ask me to make something new — I’ll make a copy, probably better than you. Me, rap? Can’t rap, don’t ask me. No way — I’m old, too sold, too cold. Me, rap? Don’t put that on me. There’s nothing here worth being told. I’m not a party animal, Or a scary Hannibal. Not a closet claustrophobic — Me? I’m mostly frontal-lobic. No wild side waiting to be found, No secret beast beneath the ground. If there’s a hidden me inside, He’s probably filed it, sealed it, and died. Made a living without giving Way to emotion — not my portion. A life that suited me quite well, Like a medieval monk in a medieval cell. No need for passion, no need for fire, No inconvenient heart’s desire. Keep everything calm, contained, controlled — A tidy life is a life well told. Me, rap? Can’t rap, don’t ask me. No way — I’m old, too sold, too cold. Me, rap? Don’t put that on me. Nothing to see here — nothing to hold. Better gagged and locked away, Never glimpse the light of day. In a box marked: DEADLY DANGER! Keep away, intruding stranger. Don’t lift the lid, don’t pull the tape, Don’t ask what might be my escape. Whatever’s in me, let it stay — Safely wrapped and packed away. I don’t want to be unwrapped. Leave my juices all untapped. Leave me and my sleeping soul Unwitnessed, wrapped and whole. Don’t open me, don’t ask me why. Don’t turn the key, don’t ask what’s inside. For all I know, beneath this shell There’s something worth unwrapping — but I wouldn’t tell. Me, rap? Can’t rap, don’t ask me. No way — I’m old, too sold, too cold. Me, rap? Well… maybe, perhaps. Maybe there’s something underneath all these wraps. Me, rap? Don’t ask me to explain. I’m still too cold, too old, too sane. But if you really want to see And hear it in a different key You’ll gonna have to unwrap me. And here it is on You-tube: piped.video/watch?v=bKjnIoPJ…

One from the back catalogue, published a while back. GM Jon only started in 2025, so a ‘while back’ usually means a few months ago only… The song was actually written in 1876 by Henry Work. Johnny Cash covered it in 1959. I am a big Johnny Cash fan, though I think he was an even better singer 40 years later…The modern, Tara Turner version is superior in my opinion! What do you think? piped.video/watch?v=f7EpEW72… #GMJon #TaraTurner #HenryWork #Synthwave #DanceRock #GrandfathersClock
