All AI movies now look like a collection of clips. More like a trailer.
Après l'Odyssée de Nolan, Musk avait annoncé qu'il referait un film fidèle au récit homérique avec Grok. Le premier épisode a été publié hier soir 👇🏻

OkHttp version 5.5.1 and 4.12.1 are now available and patches the compromised eMudhra certificates If you use OkHttp and support devices that do not have Google Play Services installed, you should upgrade ASAP github.com/lysine-dev/okhttp
🚨 If you use OkHttp, you might want to add the following certificates to a blocklist ASAP due to a recent leak of certificate authority private keys Thanks to Jesse Wilson for posting about this and adding the steps to mitigate publicobject.com/2026/10/20/…

when you catch an AI making up things about a topic you’re quite familiar with, it really makes you question all the answers it gives you for all the other topics
when you see an “expert” in the media talk about a topic you’re quite familiar with, it really makes you question all their other “experts” for all the other topics

People often think that years of experience or the amount of code you've written make difference. But that's not how it works. You can have 20+ years of experience and still know nothing. What really makes a difference is what you work on and, more importantly, who you get to work with and learn from. That is what made the difference for me, always. And that is one of the reasons why I created The Droid Club. I just wanted a place where Android developers interested in AI could come together, explore what's happening, share what we're learning, and figure things out together. Like a learning club. I genuinely believe this kind of environment can have a massive impact on your growth as an engineer. You get exposed to ideas, tools, and perspectives you might never come across on your own. You learn from other people's experiences and mistakes, not just your own. You remove the noise, you focus on the right things. It's one of the best shortcuts to becoming a better engineer.

Things I’ve stopped doing because devs aren’t interested on them anymore (sadly): - Writing tech books - Writing tech articles - Tech courses

We're constantly evaluating the official Android skills but we don't only look at correctness. If a skill gets you there in less time or using fewer tokens, it's a win. More about how we think about skills in developer.android.com/blog/p…

It can be way worse. LLMs currently have ridiculously advanced hacking skills. They could take down the whole internet.
Catastrophic prediction: In the next 5 years, we will have the first "intelligent virus" leaked and roaming around the internet based on some LLM similar to ChatGPT. It will be impossible to eliminate, taking advantage of any loophole to replicate and perpetuate itself.

My app's paywall was looking a little too light on the animations. So added this carousel to show off all of the animations, plus some icon animations for the features list #buildinpublic #androiddev #jetpackcompose

There is some beauty on noticing how people don’t want to pay for one shotted products. Look around, everyone is building products that no one is buying. We are going full circle. Put time and dedication onto things. That has always been the only way to succeed.

Have developers fully stopped learning? Something I am observing lately is that people don’t read tech books anymore, neither take courses. The only learning they do is through AI, and many times not even that, since they offload the complete thinking process to it.

This can happen in Spain in a month too. We suffer most of the same problems, and our leaders are even more disheartening.
This looks like the poster for a new movie. Hard to believe this is real life.
