5/ Wipe The Profile It Built Your history already got turned into a profile. Deleting the history doesn't delete that. Go to: Data & privacy → scroll to "My Ad Centre." Turn off: Personalised ads. Then scroll down and turn off Partner ad settings too.

4/ Set Auto-Delete On Anything You Keep If you want to keep one switched on, at least cap how long it's held. On each History setting: tap "Auto-delete" → choose 3 months. Google defaults to 18 or 36 months. Three is the shortest it offers.

3/ Stop It Rebuilding Tomorrow Deleting it means nothing if the collection stays on. It'll be full again within a week. Go back to: Data & privacy → History settings. Turn off: Web & App Activity, YouTube History, and Timeline.

2/ Delete The Copy Google Keeps The one that actually matters. Everything you searched, watched, and typed, saved against your account.
