University of Minnesota center John Michael Schmitz, who could be a first-round draft pick, said one reason he chose Jeremiah Sirles to be his agent is he likes that he's a former NFL offensive lineman. Sirles played in the NFL from 2014-18, including 2015-17 with the #Vikings.

Congratulations, Seahawks! You traded for a stud! Our guy @Jsirles71 absolutely geeks out over this block by Quenton Nelson 😤

Nick Saban to @PatMcAfeeShow: "I talked to a college coach this week who has a bye week next week, and all he's doing is meeting with agents. It's the middle of the season! Guys are worried about how much playing time am I getting, what I'm going to do if I don't get enough playing time. I'm playing well, so how much money am I going to make next year there or someplace else?" "The reason we're seeing a lot of these inconsistencies in performance is people are struggling to sustain their intensity week in and week out. Maybe it's people are more conditionally committed to their team because the circumstances we're putting these players in. ... If you can't sustain intensity, you can't sustain the level of performance you want to sustain, you can't play smart, you can't play with intelligence. It all starts with your mental energy, and that starts with your commitment to your team and to your development as a player."

Giants center comparison after 3 starts each: ⚫️Giants RBs averaged more yards per carry (3.69) behind John Michael Schmitz in Weeks 1-3 than they did in Weeks 4-6 behind Bryan Hudson (3.1) (my data) ⚫️Schmitz's QB pressure percentage (6.2%) is lower than Hudson's (7.1%), too, with Schmitz 1-on-1 on 42.3% of pass plays to Hudson's 29.1%. Hudson's time to pressure (3.45) is longer than Schmitz's (2.85), though, with 141 pass block reps to Schmitz's 97 (these pass block stats per @NextGenStats)
