Tonight, Illinois saw a fighter ready to take on Donald Trump and stand up for Illinois. Congratulations, @JulianaStratton, for a winning performance tonight.

He said it, not me.

Donald Trump is the biggest threat to national security here in the United States.

Nobody should be forced to decide between going to the doctor or putting food on the table. That’s a false choice, and it’s why I’m fighting for Medicare for All.

As a reminder, my opponent he’d “certainly welcome” Donald Trump's endorsement. Unlike Don Tracy, I promise to be a fighter who will stand up to Trump and put a stop to his authoritarian agenda.

Donald Trump said he was going after the “worst of the worst.” Instead, he went after tamale vendors, daycare workers, and our neighbors. I will fight to abolish ICE, and you better believe I’ll hold Donald Trump accountable when I get to Washington.

15 minutes into my U.S. Senate debate, and let’s get this straight. My opponent has said loud and clear that he proudly opposes raising the minimum wage, supports the war in Iran, and thinks the economy is doing just fine? Make it make sense. Illinois, you deserve someone who’s going to fight for YOU in Washington.

I wrapped up my time in Illinois with a visit to DuPage County, where leaders are making history by turning this historically deep red county blue! There are so many passionate volunteers and local candidates here, and I know they’re going to do everything they can to send @JulianaStratton to the Senate with me. Go “BluPage!”

We talked to voters this morning at Demera Restaurant about what we’re fighting for when Democrats take back Congress, and I’m excited to work with Juliana to deliver for this community and all Americans!

The caregivers I met with at @SEIUhciimk in Chicago today are struggling with high costs and a broken healthcare system. I feel it too; caring for my father has been one of the hardest challenges of my life. That’s why I’m here in Illinois to help elect @JulianaStratton, someone I know will work with me to make life easier for caregivers across the country. I’m excited to partner with her in the Senate.
