Okay, after 5 years. I gave Kagi @KagiHQ a chance...again. And I'm blown away, it's just great 🔥 Great job @vladquant and Kagi Team 🫶 P.S: Kagi uses Crystal @CrystalLanguage in production 💯

@KagiHQ is literally the only usable search engine I find downright schizophrenic blogs regularly

"Privacy by policy is no privacy at all" 💯 Which is exactly why kagi.com - together with other companies fighting for a privacy-respecting web - exists.

Second - even if policies were ironclad, frontier labs get exploited ALL the time, either by bugs, design flaws or legal requirements to disclose your data. Asked @usewisp_io to create a summary table of OpenAI's exploits: see below. Privacy by policy is no privacy at all.

@KagiHQ translate has a pretty good proofread mode. It's not free, but cheaper than a PA. 😅

We believe AI in Kagi should always be useful: there when you want it, gone when you don't, and never at the cost of your privacy. YOU are in control of your search engine - so now you can turn off AI in Kagi Search completely, with one switch. Try it: kagi.com --> Settings --> AI

native tools + @KagiHQ API for some stuff is the greatest thing to hit the web since big tech, cloudflare, & many others decimated its kitschy joyousness

Over the last few weeks, we've been rolling out a new Kagi Assistant experience. We rebuilt the experience around a new layout, smoother web and mobile use, and a lot of UX improvements that add up quickly. Check it out! 👇

kagi is the best search engine there exists at the moment, it's a paid one, but you're their priority, instead of google where you are the product. they give you what you search, instead of giving you ads.

Sports scores now show up in a sidebar widget next to search results, so you can quickly check upcoming games, live scores, and recent results, just in time for the World Cup!

@KagiHQ news knows how to use AI for the better. It ingests a bunch of news, it shows me a summary, BUT also gives me the sources so I can read them and come to my own conclusions. No polarization, no manipulation, no agenda. Thanks @KagiHQ for doing the right thing.

"Kagi Small Web is an open source reminder that the web is plenty weird and interesting, despite the reports that social media is making the Internet homogenized. Social Media is not the Internet and there's a lot of goodness to enjoy outside of it." yewknee.com/blog/kagi-small-…
