Thank you, Westchester. Last night’s victory is proof that leadership rooted in integrity, service, and stability beats chaos and dysfunction. While Washington remains stuck, Westchester is moving forward. Together, we’ve made our county safer, more affordable, and more united than ever before. This campaign was powered by family, friends, and a phenomenal team of staff, volunteers, and supporters across every corner of Westchester. I’m deeply grateful for your trust and your belief in what we can accomplish together. Now, let’s keep going. With purpose. With pride. And always with the people of Westchester at the center of everything we do.

Statement From Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins on Election Day Voting Issues “My office is fully aware of the ongoing problems with ballots and voting scanners across Westchester County, and I want to be absolutely clear: this situation is unacceptable. “Voters should remain in line and exercise their right to vote. Every eligible voter will have the opportunity to cast their ballot, and every vote must be counted. I have directed County officials, including representatives from our Law Department, to monitor the voting process and ensure that voters can cast their ballots without interference and that every vote is properly and accurately counted. “Once these issues are resolved, I will convene a bipartisan team to conduct a thorough review of the decisions and failures that led to this debacle, determine where accountability lies and ensure that this never happens again. “Westchester County voters deserve a fair, secure and seamless election process. Today, we have fallen short of that standard. The voters deserve better, and I intend to make sure they get it.”

The Westchester County Board of Elections (BOE) is aware of an issue involving paper ballots that is preventing voting machines from accepting ballots at polling locations throughout the County. The Westchester Board of Elections wants to reassure every voter that your vote matters, your ballot will be secure and your vote will be counted. The Board of Elections is in constant communication with New York State officials, Westchester County Government and poll workers to address this issue and ensure that voting continues with as little disruption as possible. In the meantime, voters should continue to complete their paper ballots as instructed by poll workers. Ballots will be placed in designated orange emergency ballot bags, which will remain secure and monitored. These ballots will subsequently be counted in accordance with applicable election procedures. We strongly encourage all voters to remain in line, exercise patience and, most importantly, cast their ballots. The BOE sincerely apologizes to voters and poll workers for the inconvenience this situation has caused, and the BOE recognizes the importance of a smooth and efficient voting process. They are taking every necessary step to address the issue as quickly as possible. Let us be absolutely clear: Every eligible vote will be counted. No voter should be discouraged from participating in this election because of this issue. Your voice matters. Your vote matters. Please stay in line and vote.

Supporting minority and women-owned businesses means creating more opportunities for people to grow their businesses and succeed right here in Westchester. I attended the 33rd Annual Brotherhood Breakfast in White Plains, hosted by African American Men of Westchester and the Business Council of Westchester. This year's theme focused on the importance of expanding opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses. A special congratulations to my friend Martha Lopez-Hanratty, who received the Harold Fitzpatrick Community Service Award! Martha has spent decades advocating for equity and opportunity in Westchester, including through her work in County government and as a New Rochelle City Council Member. Her dedication to our communities is deserving of this recognition. Thank you to African American Men of Westchester, the Business Council of Westchester and everyone who helped bring this event together. It's always good to see so many people committed to helping local businesses and our communities succeed.

A special evening celebrating 54 years of service and community at HANAC's Anniversary Gala in New York City! I was honored to receive the HANAC Public Service Award and join so many people who have supported this organization and its work over the years. For more than five decades, HANAC has been helping individuals and families access important services and opportunities, with a commitment to supporting the communities it serves. That kind of dedication makes a difference in people's everyday lives. Congratulations to fellow honorees Helen Tritaris, who received the Volunteer of the Year Award, and Magnusson Architecture and Planning PC, recognized as Company of the Year. Thank you to HANAC Executive Director Stacy Bliagos and the entire HANAC team for this recognition and for the work you continue to do. I'm grateful to be part of this year's celebration!

Every parent deserves to know their children are safe in their own home. During National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week, I visited Yonkers to highlight the work we're doing through our Lead Safe Westchester Program and hear from a local mother whose family has benefited from it. Recently, we helped a mother of two young children who was facing costly repairs to address lead-based paint hazards in her home. Through Lead Safe Westchester, the County provided nearly $139,000 in assistance to complete the necessary inspections and repairs, allowing her family to return to a safer home. This is exactly why programs like this matter. So many homes across Westchester were built before lead-based paint was banned, and addressing these hazards can be expensive for property owners. We've also secured a new $7.75 million federal grant to help more eligible families make their homes safer over the next four years. If you own a home or rental property in Westchester, I encourage you to learn more about the program and see if you qualify. Learn more: homes.westchestercountyny.go… Or call 914-995-4150

Last week, we asked Westchester residents to help us fill a Bee-Line bus with food donations. This week, we got to see all that generosity delivered! I joined Feeding Westchester, Stop & Shop and Liberty Lines to help unload the donations collected during our 8th Annual Stuff-a-Bus Food Drive. Thanks to everyone who donated at the 13 Stop & Shop locations across Westchester, Feeding Westchester now has additional food to distribute through its network of 175 community partners. With so many families struggling to keep up with the cost of groceries, every donation matters. Thank you to our partners and everyone who pitched in to help their neighbors. This is what community is all about!

Happy Halloween, Westchester! 🎃👻 If you're heading out tonight, remember to stay safe, watch for traffic and keep an eye out for all the little trick-or-treaters making their way through our neighborhoods. Enjoy the festivities and don't eat all the candy at once! 🍬

Joined Governor Kathy Hochul at Mirage Diner in New Rochelle for an Important roundtable with electeds and community members. We had a productive conversation about the challenges and opportunities in our area, and I appreciated the range of perspectives on affordability, advancing local opportunities, and how we can continue our strong partnerships with local municipalities and community organizations to keep Westchester moving forward. Thank you to the Governor for making the time to be here, to the team at Mirage Diner for hosting, and to everyone who joined the discussion.

More than half a billion dollars in County contracts awarded to minority and women-owned businesses right here in Westchester! This week, we celebrated an important milestone in our efforts to create more opportunities for local businesses. Since 2018, Westchester County has awarded more than $550 million in contracts to Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs), including $171 million in 2025 alone. That's an 85% increase from the year before! These numbers represent real opportunities for business owners and entrepreneurs who are working hard to grow their businesses, create jobs and support their families. We've made it a priority to break down barriers and make sure more businesses have a fair opportunity to compete for County contracts. Today, more than 2,500 businesses are registered with our MWBE Program, and we're continuing to build on that progress. Thank you to our Office of Economic Development, our MWBE team and everyone who has helped move this work forward. We're going to keep opening doors and creating opportunities for businesses throughout Westchester.

One thing we certainly don't have a shortage of in Westchester is good places to eat! We kicked off Hudson Valley Restaurant Week at Whisk Restaurant inside Sonesta White Plains, and it was a nice opportunity to recognize the chefs, restaurant owners and hospitality workers who contribute so much to our communities. Restaurant Week runs November 2–16, with more than 50 participating restaurants throughout Westchester offering special lunch and dinner menus. Whether you're in the mood for something familiar or want to try a restaurant you've been hearing about, there's plenty to choose from. Thank you to our County’s Tourism & Film team, the staff at Whisk and Sonesta, and all the partners who help make this event possible year after year. Mark your calendars and enjoy some of what Westchester has to offer!

This week was special as I officially unveiled the Andrew J. Spano County Archives and Records Center, honoring a man who has dedicated so much of his life to serving the people of Westchester. Andy Spano has left a lasting mark on our County, first as County Clerk and later as our seventh County Executive. Throughout his years in public service, he understood the importance of preserving Westchester's history, protecting our public records and making sure future generations could learn from the past. Having this facility bear his name is a fitting tribute to that commitment and to the many ways his leadership helped shape the Westchester we know today. Thank you, Andy, for your decades of service, your friendship and everything you've done for the people of Westchester. It was a special moment to recognize your legacy in a place that will help preserve our County's history for generations to come.

Great evening supporting County Legislator Jenn Puja at her fundraiser at Dante’s Lattes. Jenn has been doing an incredible job for the people of White Plains, Scarsdale and West Harrison. She’s a lifelong member of this community who shows up, listens and gets results for her neighbors, and I’m proud to support her.

It was great to join the WCLA/ Choice Matters for their event supporting Cait Conley, candidate for Congress in NY-17. It was an afternoon of community and conversation, with a special performance by the one and only Dar Williams. The stakes this year are high, and Cait is ready to lead in Congress and move NY-17 forward. Thank you to everyone who came out to stand up for our rights and our freedoms.

That’s why we’re putting in the work to elect Cait Conley, who will lead in Congress and move NY-17 FORWARD. These are not normal times, and these are not normal stakes. The future of our nation is on the ballot. Here’s what you can do: vote early, and bring 10 people to the polls with you. Early voting runs through Sunday, November 1st. Peekskill showed up today! 🗳️ Early voting is underway across New York, and this afternoon I joined a packed Early Vote Rally in Peekskill to get out the vote. It was great to stand with Cait Conley, candidate for Congress in NY-17, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Lieutenant Governor candidate Adrienne Adams, State Senator Pete Harckham and Assemblymember Dana Levenberg. Thank you to 1199SEIU, the Peekskill Democrats, the Cortlandt Democratic Committee and NY Dems for bringing so many neighbors together. The energy out there was incredible. Rallying with neighbors who are ready to flip NY-17 reminded me how much is at stake this year. Cait is a leader who will fight for us in Congress, and with her, we’ll move NY-17 FORWARD. And it’s not just Cait. From Adrienne Adams to Pete Harckham to Dana Levenberg, we have strong, proven Democratic candidates on the ballot this year who are ready to deliver for New Yorkers. Make sure you vote the full ballot! Early voting runs through Sunday, November 1st at 25 locations across Westchester. Find your site and hours at bit.ly/kj-votes. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd. Make your plan, vote early and make yours count 💪🏾
